I was diagnosed with Clinical Depression. I had been treated wih Prozac, Paxil and Zoloft. None of them worked and I began to think nothing ever would. I began to see a psyciatrist and he was amazed that no doctor had thought to try Wellbutrin. He asked whether I'd try it and I jumped at the chance. It gave me hope.
It turned out that the hope was well justified. I felt better and had more energy soon after I started taking it. I was much clamer and little things didn't disturb me as much. I stopped losing my temper for trivial things. As a matter of fact trivial things didn't bother me at all....

When my combination treatment (counseling plus Zoloft) seemed to hit a plateau, my doctor suggested Wellbutrin XL. The combination produced a nearly immediate improvement. I continue taking the combination today.
The doctor told me that I should take Wellbutrin XL in the morning, as it could have an 'energizing' effect. However, I've taken it late in the day and have never had any problem with too much energizing at bedtime.

I was a Zoloft user for several years. At first it worked well for me. I was extremely depressed. I went off of it for awhile but found I need to take an anti-depressant as my brain does not produce the necessary chemical to have a functioning life. I found with Zoloft that I wasn't depressed, but was certainly not the best I could be. After many doctor visits and tests (MRIs, bloodwork, CT Scans, etc) my doctor had me try Celexa. I have been on many different depression medication and combination of meds. When Welbutrin SR wasn't working, my psych. doctor decided that Welbutrin XL was a much better fit for me.
This product is extended released. I take it first thing in the morning. I am thankful for such a great medication for my clinical depression. My body works so well with medicine along with others. I have noticed a great changes in how I face the day.

i don't know that i feel anything taking wellbutrin but my best friend swears by it. i'm still trying dosages and making sure nothing is stopping the full effect. don't think i have any bad side effects.
