Works great...at first.

Have Sinus Problems, Acid Reflux Sufferer, trying to be healthier, taking meds to control anxiety, Back Pain Sufferer, need to rest when walking, practical, Taking Other Prescription Medications

I have taken Wellbutrin, in all its forms, off and on (mostly on) for over ten years. Every time I quit taking it, I feel horrible. However, the good effects of it only seem to last for a week or two. For the first few weeks I feel so energetic and like I can do anything I set my mind to. My depression gets so much better, and I even quit smoking. After about 2 weeks, the depression is back, and grows from there on. I read lots of reviews on other sites too about Wellbutrin and after my depression came back I decided to ask my doctor if I can try it.(Before I was on Zoloft and than Lexapro, but either they stopped to work or I put on so much weight and lost my sex drive, I stopped taking it.) I jump started Wellbutrin and just after 3 days I almost ended up in the ER. My blood pressure was very high, I had heart palpatations and I couldn't sleep up until 4 am. I have been using Wellbutrin for five years and it has changed my life. Sometimes you hear the term wonder drug, well this might be as close as anything comes to that handle. I was put on the generic wellebutrin Buspropine in August of this year because I suffer from chronic back pain. At 29 years old it is very frustrating to be in pain all the time and it tends to get me down. I would not consider myself depressed, but I do have my down days. Okay so yes you need to see a doctor to get this Welbutrin is an anidepresseant sometimes used for smoking. Thats how they got zyban has the same ingrediants w/o the anti depressant. — I smoked for around 15 years and took this wellbutrin for the time prescribed and ate right found ways to deal with my trigger points and i have been smok free now for 4years not at anytime in the 4 ys have i smoked or even thought of smoking. Yeah this is prescription but actually worked while it lasted

taking meds to control anxiety, not a fan of taking medications, health conscious, one who prefers not to take medication

I really don't like taking Medication.... really. I do eventually give into the doctors and take what they give me. I took wellbutrin for a couple weeks and it was nice. I had all the energy i had wanted and it was like i had my life back until i couldn't stop. It actually increases anxiety. In my case worrying. My shrink found out that my doctor prescribed it and stopped it immediately. Sucked because i liked it. I heard it's becoming a recreational drug so be careful out there. I have been on BUPROPION -150mg since last October. Found that it has made a difference in calming me down so that I am not reaching for a cigarette all the time....I have gone from 2 packs a day down to 2 cigarettes a day. I was put on this medication for major depression. Although I have had to add other drugs to treat my depression, I started feeling better about 3 weeks after starting wellbutrin. In addition to helping me feel better, I have also cut way down on smoking, from about 1 1/2 packs a day to about 1/3 of a pack a day.
