WelChol Welchol tablet 625mg Review

My husband has had high cholesterol for well over thirty years. We have changed his eating habbits and still he has high cholesterol. He has been on many so called controler medication with no luck of lower his cholesterol. Then about two years ago my doctor recommended he try Welchol. This medication stays in the stomac and keeps cholesterol from building up. I thought this may help my husband so lets give it a try.

My husband takes three tables every morning and three at night. That is right six pills in total and they are not small pills. They have no flavor at all. The size does present a problem every now and then when they go down wrong. Thank goodness this doesn't happen often. Each pill is 625 mg. each. My husband also took another cholesterol mendication as well.

His first blood test after being on the medication showed a signifigant lower cholesterol count. The second blood test took one year later showed low cholesterol instead of high. It was at this time he was taken off the other cholesterol controler medication. Now my husband only takes the Welchol and it is working great. We still watch what he eats but if he does eat a few of the fatty foods I know that he will be alright.

For my family this drug is great. It is keeping my husband healthy. The cost of this medication with my insurance is still $55.00 for a three months supply. I am sure that the price will vary depending on your insurance. I would highly recommend that you ask your doctor if Welchol is right for you. It may take a little bit for the medication to get into your system but I am sure even you will see a change in your cholesterol numbers.

The price for this product is a little on the high side. However, I do not think you can put a price on good health. The other point is that with this medication he doesn't take any other controler medication.
