Hooray, carbs on a diet!

This was so good and big enough that I could actually split it into two meals if I had a side salad! It tasted and felt like a major carb indulgence, but was low calorie and the carbs weren't bad. I could barely taste a difference between this and non-diet lasagna. I will definitely be buying this again!

Good meatless dish

I often try different single dish tv dinners as they are a quick grab on the way out the door to work. Often "better for you" tv dinners don't always have the flavor or consistency of "regular" tv dinners, but with this lasagna florentine this does not seem to be a problem.  I am not a vegetarian, but I can not eat red meat or sausage due to a chronic condition I have.  Considering most lasagnas are made with beef or pork products, this frozen meal has been a great alternative.  It is loaded with vegetables, and they are still crisp after cooking the meal which adds a nice touch when eating.  The consistency of the meal is thick and hearty and the layers stay defined.  It does have quite a bit of garlic in it and you do not notice too much when eating it, but afterwards it might be beneficial to brush if you can or have a stick of gum handy.  On the downside, yet as with most frozen meals, it does have a high sodium content.  So for people who need to watch their sodium intake it may not be the best choice. Overall, this is a flavorful dish.

Great tasting lasagna

I eat frozen dinners for lunch every day at work and this is one of my favorites. It tastes really good, but it does have a long cooking time. Once it comes out of the microwave,  you really have to let it cool before digging in. It is also hard to get an even heat distribution. Part of the lasagna will be burning hot and another part will be lukewarm. But the taste is great and that is what I'm most concerned about.

Tastey and definitely worth it!

Smart Ones Lasagna Florentine is definitely worth the points.  It has a great taste and definitely helps to satisfy my Italian fix.  The combination of cheese, pasta, italian flavored sauce and spinach helps to make it taste like home cooking.  Not only is the frozen entree healthy, fairly low on points, but it is also fast and easy to make!  My boyfriend is a picky eater and has never enjoyed anything with any type of green vegetable and he loves this.  He was surprised to learn that it was a frozen weight watcher's item.  Definitely worth trying!   Quick cooking tip...it's even better when you let it sit out and thaw.  It doesn't take nearly as long to cook and the noodles come out just right.  I would definitely recommend this meal to anyone who is beginning to watch their points but still loves their pasta.  This dish has helped to make my transition from a foodie to a nutrition conscious person.

I'm surprised I don't miss the meat in this veggie lasagna!

Getting bored with all the same old frozen dinner varieties I've been eating, I looked for an entree that I hadn't eaten before, even if it didn't look the most appealing.  I've tried the [Smart Ones Lasagna with Meat Sauce][1] , but just it was okay.  I must have really felt desperate because I don't normally care for a meatless lasagna, but I threw it in the cart anyways. **Weight Watchers Smart Ones Lasagna Florentine **consists of a spinach/ricotta blend, lasagna noodles, a chunky tomato sauce filled with veggies and topped with mozzarella.  It's a five layer lasagna with a surprisingly large portion. I didn't think I would like this entree because I like the texture and flavor that meat brings to a traditional lasagna, but I was surprised to not really miss the meat in this dish.  The spinach/ricotta blend that is between the lasagna noodles wasn't super flavorful since it's low-fat, but at least it didn't have an overwhelming spinach flavor.  My favorite part of the lasagna was actually the chunky tomato sauce that's on top of the lasagna.  It's loaded with lots of zucchini, carrots and tomatoes.  I think the crunch from the veggies make up for the lack of texture from the missing meat. Is **Weight Watchers Smart Ones Lasagna Florentine **authentic, or even delicious?  No, but I gave it 4 stars because I am comparing it to other frozen low fat/calorie lasagnas and this one is "above average".  It was very satisfying and I would buy it again.
