I have been on a diet since May and have lost just about 20 pounds. I have been doing my best to stay away from sweets but there are times when the cravings take over. The other day I was craving cookie dough ice cream like crazy. I couldn't find any brands at the store that were fat free or low fat in that flavor. Just as I was about to give up, I came across Weight Watchers Premium Ice Cream Cups. They were cookie dough flavor and low fat! Who could ask for more?
My Experience...
Each package contains two 6.0 oz. cups and costs around $2.79. I originally thought that was a bit pricey but after tasting this ice cream, it was well worth it. I'm not on the actual Weight Watchers diet but for those who are, each cup is only 2 points. There is only 140 calories in each of these cups and 2.5 grams of fat. I love that this ice cream is pre-portioned so I don't go overboard as I would if I bought a half gallon. I know me and I know what happens when I eat ice cream! I have a problem limiting myself to just a little when there is a whole lot of something I like. I'm not watching my carbs but I did notice that there is 31g in one cup, which seems quite high to me. If you are limiting carbs, this might not be the choice for you. The taste is really good and there are plenty of chocolate chips and cookie dough pieces throughout the 6 oz. cup. It definitely satisfied my craving and I didn't feel guilty for a change.
My Final Viewpoint...
Weight Watchers Premium Ice Cream Cups are a guiltless pleasure that I enjoy every now then when that sweet tooth comes calling. I recommend these ice cream cups and I am giving them a 4 star rating.
