Weight Watchers - Lemon Cake with Lemon Icing —

I was shopping at a grocery store picking up a few things when I saw the Weight Watchers Lemon Cake with Lemon Icing on an end display.  The picture looked delicious, but I scoffed at the price of $4.99.  A couple weeks later at the military commissary, I spotted the same product, but for only $2.99, so in my shopping cart they went!

That night after dinner, I was craving dessert, so I decided to give my new Weight Watchers Lemon Cake with Lemon Icing a try.  When I opened the box, I couldn't believe my eyes - the cakes were approximately 2 1/2 inches long and one inch wide!  They are super tiny!

Despite their small size, these cakes are absolutely delicious!  They are nice and moist and taste like a soft pound cake with a mild lemon flavor.  There is a strip of bright yellow icing on top that has a stronger lemon flavor.  Together, it is a perfect lemon cake - a very small, perfect lemon cake.  I expected them to be dry and flavorless, like cardboard, but they were just the opposite.  My only complaint is that one cake is not satisfying.  I could eat two of these cakes, but then it would defy the whole purpose of eating healthy dessert in the first place.

Usually, low fat desserts are very dry and dense (cardboard), so that is what I expected it to taste like :) These taste like they came from a bakery.

Hmm...could you ask the waiterperson to tell me what cardboard with lemon icing tastes like? I was also going to say that the size is probably portion control. All done in moderation dear ;+) Love the review!!!

I know but I think I should eat more of these teeny-weeny desserts. Wait until you see MY size someday! Even with all these healthy things I've been eating. I swear I wish I had TunefulGal's metabolism. That gal could be dumped into a vat of fudge and eat her way out of it and never gain an ounce! HAHA! Well speaking of eating, it's nearly 1 p.m. and I think I'll just go offline for a while and eat a tuna wrap which I treated myself to from Peapod yesterday! Take care, and I'll catch ya later!

Thank you AnnaBanana! If you like lemon flavored desserts, you will really like these. You will scoff at the size though :)

YOU were the one who actually tried this and got my Helpful Vote! This sounds great -- I've tried the caramel flavor but am especially fond of lemon. If you say it is good, that's good enough for me.
