What you need to know: At this point in the history of Weight Watchers there are a few different ways you can work this program. I use the point system. At one time I could eat between 18-23 points a day. This is based on my weight. The program now gives me a fixed number - 20 - with 35 points a… read full review »

I worked with this program for about two years with some success.  I used the points program because I really needed to be able to track my points/calories easily.  However even though I was very careful with my eating habits it seemed that my weight was always up and down and never… read full review »

My entire life I have never been considered a thin girl. I topped out at 220 lbs. when I talked my mother into joining Weight Watchers, mainly because I was concerned about her health, she used to be thin and put on a lot of weight in the past few years. She had tried a lot of different diets - Atkins, The James Coco Diet, pills, South Beach, NutriSystem. I watched her try them all. Some worked for a while, but in the end she always gained the weight back because none of these diets taught her how to eat right. None of them taught portion control. They all either eliminated something… read full review »

Weight Watchers has been the best choice I have made for my life in a long time. Since April of this year I have lost 26 pounds. That may not sound like a lot to you but with my summer being a constant run of picnics and parties I think it's great. I am averaging about a pound a week, consistenly and eating all the things I love. With the WW program you are taught how to convert your every day food loves into things you can eat and still lose weight. This is done through converting those foods into points and only eating a certain number of points per day, determined by your present weight.… read full review »

I have joined WW about 7 years ago to loose weight.  I had lost a record amount of weight during my first 7 months on the program (points), (35 pounds).  I followed it to the T and it did work for me, so I know it could work for anyone if they followed through and gave it their all.  To date I have gone up and down with my weight (at the most 10 pounds here and there), but all I had to do was go back to my WW points and I lost the weight that I wanted to.  Sometimes it is just 10 pounds or less, but WW does help.  You just have to follow it and keep your journal,… read full review »

I was a little afraid about trying out Weight Watchers, as I had tried the Atkins and South Beach deits before. But when my mom lost 30 pounds from Weight Watchers, I had to try it. I was also skeptical because I'm a guy, and most people who do Weight Watchers are women. — — This program works, unlike many other diets. I've been able to lose weight consistently and keep it off. You may not lose 8 pounds every week -- most people only lose .5 to 2 lbs a week -- but the healthy amount of weight to lose a week is about 1 or 2 pounds. And unlike those diets where you lose 8 pounds in… read full review »

Weight Watchers is not a DIET - it is a way of life. It changes your lifestyle to focus on healthy eating and exercising for the rest of your life. The program has a couple of different options on how to count food, so there are choices for different types of individuals. You can go to weekly meetings or do all of your program via the Internet or both. — — I especially like the Internet, as I work on the computer all the time. It has lots of articles on everything from fitness to recipes to how to order healthy at restaurants. It also has a community section where you… read full review »

I joined Weight Watchers in July of 2007. Years ago, my grandfather had lost quite a bit of weight with them. I'd come to the point in my life that I knew I couldn't lick this problem myself and needed help so, like my grandfather before me, I turned to Weight Watchers. I assumed it was going to be just another diet - boy, was I wrong! I am using the Points program and with it I have begun to view my intake for the day in the same manner that I view the money in my bank. I have x amount to spend for this day so what do I want to buy? Or, in this case, eat? I have perfect freedom in… read full review »

I lost weight a few different times on Weight Watchers.  It's a great program especially for those that are anal like me about writing everything thing down.  But even for the others that don't like to do that, they have a new program called the Core where you don't have to write things down.  This is a GREAT program to help the first-time dieter get a grasp of what to eat, when, and how food effects your body.  I really liked the meetings but also liked that you didn't have to go with the new online version as well.  I think it is well worth the money. … read full review »

As a weight watcher it's important to feel good about yourself as you strive to loose weight.  This is a program that should be considered for all those dieters that's looking for something that is concerned about you.  There are many programs but Weight Watchers has been around a long time and has always had postive results. And that's what is important to each individual.  Weight Watchers let you be an individual with support from… read full review »

In the past 5 months, i have lost 27 pounds on weight watchers.  I did it with a couple friends, and i must say it was easy and fun.  It is very easy to find food at the grocery store, and on most restaurant menus that work with the plan.  It is actually fun to count points. … read full review »

This is the best way to lose weight in my opinion. You can make it a lifestyle change and keep the weight off forever. It is not a quick fix though. People who need ot lose weight have to realize---weight goes on gradually; it comes off gradually. To do it right, you have to reduce the amount you take in and increase the amount you burn. Very simple premise that many of us (including myself) have a hard time following. WW gives you a formula to help you figure out how much to eat without restricting what you eat. I am all about numbers and this is right up my alley. They offer different… read full review »

Weight watchers offers such a variety of plans to fit your needs. They are totally into trying to help you achieve the goals you have in mind, at a reasonable, healthy pace. — I love weight watchers, I have lost 50 lbs with them in the past, I would recomend no other plan, You have the availibity to count your points, or to use the core plan...both are great. — I myself prefer counting points so I am accredible for all the foods I eat. Which by the way can be anything. You do not have to stick with certain foods and you don't have to buy any of thier foods. You just have to… read full review »

My weight has always been up and down.  I was a fat baby, a scrawny, awkward pre-teen, then a chubby teenager.  I married had my children, lost weight, gained weight, lost weight, gained weight.  While I was never huge, I was still on that yo-yo of never being able to maintain a consistent weight and size.  It was frustrating.  — My daughters have inherited my same weight problem.  When my daughter was in high school she and I made the decision to join Weight Watchers.  She is a petite 5'3".  I am a little taller at 5'5".  In about two… read full review »

Weight Watchers is a wonderful program.  It offers a way to lose weight through making choices, and offering a new way to view food.  The program has a system of putting a point value on all foods, and a way to calculate how many points a person should eat each day/week and be able to lose weight.  It is calculated to have a reasonably slow weight loss (1-2 pounds a week) so that there is a better chance of keeping the weight off. —   Each person can choose what they want to eat within their food points. WW taches a lot about nutrition, but nothing is… read full review »
