First off, people need to realize that "Fad" diets are normally not good for you. We know that, lets say, if you are diabetic your doctor will give you a nutritionist to go to that reviews foods that are good, bad and ugly for you. No zone diets, pills, etc. Why spend hundreds of dollars to Jenny Craig, etc for them to tell you to buy foods you can find for a heck of a lot cheaper, made exactly how you want made and how you want to make your portions for other meals. People need to realize that for the most part you can eat what you want in moderate amounts. Any doctor will verify this. Another fabulous way to control (help anyway) eating portions is to drink at least 1 8oz. glass of water before eating, as this will help you from overeating. Also people don't realize the more colorful your plate is, the more you WILL eat, so, a white plate works wonderful in helping portion your food size and it looks boring.
I also focus on buying mostly organic foods that don't have all the ingredients we can't spell and much less pronounce.............
