I'm not 'flawless by nature' but this makes me look that way!
5 star rating

a beauty diva, a cosmetics junkie, very skin conscious, a dry skin sufferer, very happy with this product, into natural looking cosmetics, always trying new beauty products
Pros

is a powder but feel liks a light cream, better for the skin than liquid, doesn't clog pores, very silky, no powdery or cakey look, herbs and antioxidants, buildable coverage, blends great with my skin, totally natural looking

Cons
not all natural if that's what you want

Quick View: This foundation is the best powder foundation I have ever used. It literally melts into my skin and looks completely flawless. The is the only powder foundation that doesn't look "powdery" on my dry skin. Love it.

About Wei East Flawless By Nature China Herbal Powder Foundation

I love Wei East skin care but never even knew they had a makeup line until I got a mailer with a special code to get any order on their site for 50% off. That's a good deal. Even though the Wei East website sells their products for more than HSN.com does, with the half off code, everything was a steal.

I didn't need skin care so I browsed around and saw a mineral-type make up line. Foundation, blushes, a creamy concealer, and more. I don't know why I decided to give Wei East Flawless By Nature China Herbal Powder Foundation a try but I did. And BOY am I glad I did. It's really amazing foundation.

This foundation comes in a .48 ounce sifter container with a powder puff. There are eight shades to choose from. Because I have a little color from my daily Vitamin D infusing sunshine sessions, I ordered Hong Kong Tan which is made for tan or olive skin. Normally, on the site it is $24.00 but, with the coupon code (gold2008. Try it. It may still work for a few more days.), I only paid $12.00.

This powder foundation is NOT all natural. It has Chinese herbs as well as silk, China clay, several natural extracts, antioxidants, and other ingredients. They do not claim to be all natural but they do claim to have many hand ground extracts and good for the skin ingredients.

I never have good luck with powder foundations. I have dry skin and I look powdery no natter how much buffing and swirling I do. However, when I used the powder puff to apply Wei East Flawless By Nature China Herbal Powder Foundation, I was amazed. It really does look like a powder but go on like a cream. The shade looked a bit dark for my skin but, after application, it was perfect. It concealed small flaws and left my skin dewy and not at all powdery. I couldn't believe how natural this stuff looked on me.

I used Wei East's My Secret Concealer and Flawless By Nature Herbal Blush and WOW. I loved the results. I looked healthy and YOUNGER. I didn't look like I had a bunch of makeup on, I looked like my skin was just naturally radiant.

This foundation doesn't give heavy coverage. I use the concealer (which is a cream and another fantastic buy) first around my eyes and on any small spots, then apply the foundation. The coverage is sheer to medium and buildable.

I can't say enough about this foundation. No, it isn't mineral foundation per se. It is a meld of herbs and extracts with other ingredients but, looking at the ingredients list I don't see anything scary or pore clogging. It certainly doesn't clog my pores or cause any irritation. It's soothing and calming. I just ordered a lighter shade to mix with the deeper shade I have now when my skin goes back to its ghastly pale state in the winter. I am hooked on this foundation. It does not seep into lines nor does it have shimmer. It's so natural looking that it takes years off my appearance and, even in the sun, you can't tell I have makeup on.

My Viewpoint

I can't say I will never use another foundation because I am a cosmetics junkie but I can say that this is the best powder foundation I ever used. It is silky and creamy with no aging shimmer, no caking, and no powdery look. It melts into my skin and looks natural but enhances my skin and conceals small flaws. It evens my skin tone and makes me look better. Nuff said. I an giving Wei East Flawless By Nature China Herbal Powder Foundation 5 stars. No, it isn't all natural mineral makeup, but it is a lot better for my skin that the liquid foundations I have used and it works beautifully.

Drat. George stole my line. Now I have to use my old stand-by comment on reviews of make up, bras, and all the other products I'll never use because I'm a guy:

Nice review, Patty!

I am going to do just that. I have a big bin filled with stuff and it's stupid to let it just sit there so I am tossing a LOT of things even if they are almost new and I kind of like them. I'll give you the good stuff and past the rest on or toss it. Time to downsize!

Good job! :>

Thanks. Everything on the entire site is 50% off. Not sure when the sale ends but it's a great time to try their stuff which is all high quality. And they send you full sizes of products sometimes as well as a zillion samples every time with each order. Gotta love freebies!

It's pronounced like Way. And thank you for looking into the issue. This is officially a rating until I tag it. I'm sick. Not enjoying anything but sleeeeep. :(

Hey Patty. Sounds like something certainly went haywire with the pros/cons & tags. I'm doing some testing now. Kevin and Andy will take a look and get us back on track. Enjoy your weekend! Is Wei pronounced like Wii? Hmm :)
