Wei East China Herbal Hand and Body Perfection Review

I was surprised by how quickly the Wei East Perfection arrived in my mailbox.  I opened up the box and pulled out the surprisingly small tube of the lotion (a little less than 3 ounces).  If this is full-sized, I could see that I would go through it pretty quickly if I used it on both my hands and body.  To be more practical, I decided to use it solely as a hand lotion and set it aside for future use.

I soon found a need for the Perfection lotion after hand washing some pots that I didn't want to put in the dishwasher.  My hands are actually in pretty good shape, but dishwater does dry them out a bit.  I squirted just a small amount onto my hands, and I loved the fresh, subtle fragrance and silky texture of the product as I rubbed it in.  The lotion absorbed into my skin very quickly and softened my cuticles, yet it didn't feel the least bit greasy. After rubbing it on, I noticed a slight residue remained on hands that felt protective and silky.  Even after washing my hands several times that day, I didn't feel the need to reapply the lotion.

On the downside, I think it would be incredibly expensive to use this as an everyday body lotion.  Although the "active Chinese herbs" are highly touted, I noticed that the Wild Turmeric, Notoginseng, and other root extracts don't show up until the middle of the ingredient list.  It makes me wonder if the herbal ingredients are really as important as they are described in the informational pamphlet. 

That said, I must say I do think that Wei East China Herbal Hand & Body Perfection is a high quality lotion that does an excellent job of smoothing rough hands.  It's not outstanding enough for me to choose it over equally performing (and less expensive) drugstore lotions, but it does have a spa-like, indulgent feel.  I can see why so many people are becoming big fans of Wei East.  I'm a fan too - just a frugal one who won't ever purchase it at full price.
