Weeds is a very, very funny show about a suburban mom whose husband dies and she turns to selling drugs. The acting is brilliant, the writing is hysterical, and so far in season two, they have managed to keep it going. The series is a satire of suburban life with lots of laughs to make it go down easier.
If you take it to seriously or too literally, you will hate it.
There is nudity, violence and language, so if those things offend you stay away.
For my tastes, it is one of the best shows on tv today.

read full review »Since we did not have Showtime last year, I bought WEEDS - SEASON 1 on DVD, because so many people told me "You just have to see that, or have you caught Weeds yet?" After receiving it, I, of course, showed my husband & we started watching it. What a funny funny, really relateable show.
We could not stop watching it & were very bummed that we were able to view the whole season in just 2 nights. Being just 1/2 hour episodes, they go very fast. If it was up to me I would make each episdoe 1 hour long.
