To the Point

My daughter picked out the Wedgwood "Lustreware" Blue Fin 5-Piece Place Setting. It was on her registry. My mom bought here a 12 place settings. I had seen them since they were stored in my house but now that they have a condo they are where they should be. We set the table for Thanksgiving using all five pieces.

A Closer View

From Bloomingdale's "Lustreware has been a Wedgwood hallmark since the early 19th century. This collection, in fine bone china, features two colors for its 5 Piece Place Setting, Oyster and Blue Fin...." Check around because the prices vary. For example currently this pattern is on sale at Bloomingdale's for $149 from $230. (That is for one 5-piece set.)
They can also be found at Macy's on sale for $129.00 from $200.00. http://www1.macys.com/catalog/product/index.ognc?ID=112256&CategoryID=8722

Before we read the back of the plate we were going to wash each item but then saw that Lustreware Blue Fin is dishwasher safe. A bit apprehensive it went into the dishwashter both before dinner and then after and came out just fine.

The pattern is just gorgeous. There are soft bands of light blue with a platinum trim. It's slighty irridenscent.

The five pieces are a dinner plate, dessert plate, bread plate, cup and saucer.

Jo's Viewpoint

I like it!

Sounds like a classy table setting, but $129 to $200 sure doesn't fit a kid-oriented household! ;-)

It looks nice. I actually sold my good china at a garage sale, we never used it, and it was just taking up space and gathering dust.
