A fun & safe place for your kids to play.

I love everything about this website! It is a very fun & interactive for kids, and is also fun for the parents! My son & I had a great time decorating his bunny's room, buying him food & clothing, sending him to school, playing games at the arcade, winning money at the tournement area.......I could go on and on! I was hesitiant to get this toy since I don't like getting stuck to the PC trying to teach the little ones games. Once you purchase the webkinz (can be found at http://www.webkinz.com/faq_general.html... we found ours at hallmark) This toy looks similar to a beenie baby, but in it's tag holds a secret password. This password gives a 1 year activiation to a webkinz account. These games are super educational, and offer hours of fun. My youngest daughter, age 6, received her first webkinz pet for her birthday. She sleeps with it & takes it almost everywhere with her. She also gets online to care for her virtual pet daily, & has gotten very good at using the computer (keyboard, mouse etc.) & has gained really good hand eye coordination. She has also gained a lot of knowledge (not from the game playing) from Quizzy's Corner, which is the real learning part of Webkinz World. OMG!!! As a retail owner, I have been approached for many years to carry the Ganz product in my store...which I never did...if I only knew then what I know now!!! As a business owner, the Webkinz are a definite selling item in a store. As a parent of a boy who absolutely loves Webkinz, I have spent a small fortune on these animals...I think he's nearing 100 (including the ones on my account). Our family consists of my 7 year old daughter, my husband and myself. We all own Webkinz!! My daughter has 10, Hubby has 3 and I have 4. We love to go online and play games, take care of them and even enter the contests they have. I think this is a great for the kids so they can learn to take care ofa pet by feeding it, bathing it and so on. It is a clean fun for the kids and there is no "bad influences" on this site. I first heard about Webkinz from my daughter (8) when she came home from Girl Scouts a few months ago. I looked into the website and decided to get her a pet for her birthday later that month. We became so caught up with it that we were fighting over who was going to do what that I had to go and buy one for myself. The one con is the experation date but I figured if I buy one for Christmas and one for Easter then I am good. My daughter has three different Webkinz and the whole family loves them. I like that she can take care of them online, choose their rooms, purchase items for them with money she has to earn and that she has a "real" part of them to play with at home. At least one of them goes with us almost anywhere and they all are referred to by the names she gave them. We liked that she was able to print out their birth certificates to keep also. Webkinz are one of the best, funfilled learning toys around. They teach math, social studies, health, and many other things, all in fun-filled play for all ages. You can interact with other Webkinz owners in a safe environment. Children learn responsibility by caring for their pets. We bought our first Webkinz less than one year ago, and we now have an entire menagerie. In our house, we have five separate webkinz.com accounts... three for the kids, one for Mom, and one for the cat.
