Weber Gas Go-Anywhere Grill Review

The Weber Gas Go Anywhere is a modest looking tailgate or camping grill, but it's well made and gets the job done. In fact, some of the best grilled hamburgers I've had over gas have been on the Go Anywhere.

The Gas Go Anywhere is a box shaped grill with folding legs that make it compact like a small overnight suitcase. It's about a small as you can go and still have enough heat to sear and cook items that need more heat.

As far as size, I cook 6 hamburgers at once or 4 generous steaks. You could perhaps pack on more, but I like some breathing space on the grill myself.

The design includes flavor shields over the burner which help prevent flare ups. You may get a few to the sides of the burner cover, but if you pop the lid on, those are out in a flash.

This compact grill uses the small gas bottles which are sold at most home stores like Lowe's. Do have a back up bottle, because it's bad to run out in the middle of griling. With the size of the grill though and the lid, this one does go easy on the gas. We do several grilled meals on a single bottle of propane.

You do get a push button start on this grill, but if that ever has any problems (our has not), you can use a match and light it like other gas grills. The push button is nice especially if you hate to get your hand so close to the flame when it starts up.

Clean up is easy. Most of the mess is on the shield and a lot of the gunk burns off as you're grilling. With the small size, the pieces fit in the sink which is nice. I just put hot water and Dawn dish washing liquid in the sink, and the grill looks like new when I clean up the parts. The outside, I just wipe down.

Like other Weber grills (we have several), this grill is durable. You may pay a little more, but it works and then holds up year after year. I'd rather spend more and know my grill and what it will do. The Go Anywhere is a thumbs up, and it's easy to rock this little grill.
