great place to here local bands play

waxer's is the best place for it's price in coos bay Oregon. I have been to a few shows there. metal and rock mostly that is what this town is know for. I love this band lullaby and they have played there a few times. my problems with the place is that if you are a band and want to rent the place you have to pay 450 plus half the door after you have made 700 which is pretty high if you have 4 bands playing and have to pay that and slit the door you will at the end of the night pay each band maybe 40.00 bucks each that sucks for bands that have to drive to get there. but it is the best place in town for any band to play at.

my other problem is I have helped a lot of bands out and when every I help them with waxers. the sound in there always is really bad. the sound guy it behind a glass window for one ans all he has is a little speaker in there to here that is know good for a sound booth. There is always to many people in the sound both any ways. the first band of the night aways sounds great and then after that it is all down hill and so if you are the head liner you are going to sound like shit. If you know anyone that can run sound better bring them in to do sound for you that is all I can say.
