I am a HUGE fan of our Waring Deep Fryer. Originally, I didn't think that we needed a deep fryer at home, but I was wrong. The Waring Deep Fryer is compact and perfect for at home cooking. I would not recommend trying to cook your Thanksgiving dinner in your Waring Deep Fryer, but your average family dinner will be just fine. In addition to having restaurant quality frying abilities, the Waring Deep Fryer is easy to clean. I simply wait for it to cool down, take it apart, and throw it in the dishwasher. The Waring Deep Fryer is worth the money that you will spend on it. It will easily heat up to 375 in less than 5 minutes. In addition, I love how the Waring, unlike its comparable competitors on the market, actually displays the temperature as it is heating up. I am giving the Waring Deep Fryer four out of five stars because lets be honest, it is a little cheaply made and I have to use an extension cord every time I use it because the cord in the back in so short. We have had our Waring Deep Fryer for several years now and it still fries food to perfection. It is easy to clean, assemble, take apart, and use too. It does just the right amount of food for a family of four who are hungry and lined up with their plates! Performance The way that this fryer fries food is perfect. We have fried everything from calamari to bananas and every time, the fryer is perfect. The outside is crispy, but not too done, and the inside is cooked just right. Ease of Use This deep fryer is easy to use and fries food perfectly. When turned on, there is a red light to show that the power is on and when the fryer is up to temp, a green light goes on. That means that the food can be put down into the oil. When waiting, it rests above the oil very well. The cord is a break away short cord in case someone knocks it , it will break away from the unit so that it won't tip over. Durability We have used this fryer a lot since we got it several years ago and it is still going strong. Ease of Cleaning This fryer is very easy to clean. The basket comes apart so that you can clean and store it and can be put in the dishwasher. The oil pan is also easy to take apart and clean, and the unit can be taken apart so that the heating element is not attached to the pan and that can be easily washed too. The surfaces of the dial and the container are also easy to wipe off and clean.

I like this fryer and it does a good job. I only one thing that I think could be better. I find it cumbersome to fiddle with the lid every time I put something in it or check on it. I think it would be better if the lid were hinged so you wouldnt have to mess with finding a place to put the hot lid down when removing items from the fryer. Another thing, if you accidentally fill the fryer over the max line, you need to be aware that it will overflow on your counter when you are using the filtering feater and emptying the oil into the container. Other than that, it works great.

I have to confess, I love fried food. I am trying to not eat fried foods as much, but there is nothing finer than a fried potato, if you ask me. I first saw the Waring Deep Fryer at a friends house. We were having a cooking contest and I accused him of having an unfair advantage because he was using the Waring Deep fryer. Although I ended up winning, the deep fryer made it easy for him to win the appetizer portion of the contest. This deep fryer heats quickly and has a deep basket, that is sturdy and has enough room for a large piece of fish, the handles stay cool and the mechinism for lowering the product seems to minimize splashes. the stainless steel oil resevoir looks professional enough that it is not unsightly to have on your counter. I was resistant in purchasing this because it is so easy to use that my consumption of fried food will  increase. I finally broke down and registered for one for my wedding. We received it a few weeks ago and already I am making homemade potato chips. Yumm.

I have  a waring.  I purchased mine from Bed, Bath and Beyond.  IT was the only fryer they had.  the price was bit on the high side.  I think it was a little to big to store, but you have to have the space.  I have not really used it yet.  I tried to use it one time, but I needed a lot of oil.  Once I use it.  I can give better advice.  I am excited about using it.  It seems very easy to clean.  most of the items can go into the dishwasher.  I cannot wait to use it.

I am absolutely delighted by the durability and output of the Waring Pro DF250 deep fryer!After having had many fryers, with another disappointing adventure awaiting me, I looked hard and reviewed many articles and reviews before purchasing the Waring. My last ones' heating element went out upon the fourth time using it. Waring received a lot of good articles on it, so I purchased it. I've had it for three months now, and have used it too numerous of times to count. I feel as if I have finally found a product I can rely on for quite some time to come. The re-heat time between adding foods and frying is very minimal.It recovers very quickly. Is very simple to clean, and the basket shape is quite unique by comparison of. It is wide rather than just deep.So the foods are placed ON the basket,not just in, and fry evenly without having to stir them up. The on drawback is the plug on the unit. It does not clamp on very well. So if you should move the unit while frying,even slightly, it will fall off. But just put it back on and the recover time of the grease is as if it never came off and the grease never began cooling.This is a terrific product,especially if you deep fry as much as I do. And the price is very reasonable for a good fryer.
