Most HelpfulI recently prepared a boxed meal kit of Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken for my family. My Asian cooking usually consist of homemade vegetable fried rice or a trip to the local Chinese restaurant for takeout. I really wasn't sure how this cooking adventure would turn out but I was willing to try. I will...

Most HelpfulI recently purchased Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken for dinner for my daughter and I. While it says it serves two, this is stretching it a bit. First of all, it comes it a rather large bag and one assumes there wil be an equivalent amount of food inside. We were mistaken. There was a fair amount of meat...
review »Wanchai Ferry Orange Chicken is a great product that really lives up to it's claims.
I made this last week when my boyfriend was over for dinner. The bag claims it takes 14 minutes to prepare - and it took me about 16! Not too shabby. On the bag, there are a few suggestions for additions to the kit or side dishes. I did take that advice and added some fresh peppers and onions. I am glad I did or we would have still been hungry! review »I have made Wanchai Ferry 3 times now in a week ! First, for my husband and I and we were so impressed , that I made it for two neighborhood families where the wife had just had surgery. Both families loved it...one keeps asking me for the recipe ! LOL
THe only thing I did, was take out the red chile peppers a little early in the cooking process , so that it wasn't too spicy (don't add just the seeds!) and I substituted my own long grain and wild rice for the white rice that it comes with...
An excellent value ! and truly, the sauce is just divine..
Thank you Wanchai Ferry ! Now I want to try...
review »My husband and I bought the Wanchai Ferry Orange chicken this weekend just to try it out. The package says "complete meal for two", but after we cooked it, it didn't even look like there was enough for one person. It pobably would have been enough for 2 small kids, but not for two adults. There wasn't enough chicken in there for 2 adults. It's a little pricey to feed just one person.
On the positive side, it tasted Great!! I tasted like the orange chicken that we normally order from our favorite Chinese restaurant!
I just wish the portion size was bigger.
