the Happiest Place on Earth... on a budget? Exactly! There are so many great deals, but our favorite is the free food ticket! Disney usually offers this once a year, and usually for dates from June through September. This is SOOO worth it! You get one free "counter service", one free "table…

Critical Review
Vacation trips to Walt Disney World have become something of an obligatory rite of passage for American families, and while you might get the impression from all of the reviews posted on this site to date that all is perfect, idyllic, and magical, the reality is that it is just a theme park, and an…

I can not say enough about Walt Disney World. Most people think that Disney is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, but for me, I like to go at least once a year. If you look for the specials that Disney runs for the value season, which is also the best time of year to go because there are fewer people, you can get great deals! — Disney makes it easy for their guests without hurting the quality they offer. We frequently stay at the Moderate level resorts which are just amazing. There is a huge difference between the budget and the moderate hotels, but not as much of…

We've been to Disney World 2 times...once 10 years ago for our honeymoon and once in 2005 as a family (one boy, age 5 at the time). What can I say? It's an amusement park. A very large, sometimes overwhelming one especially considering that there are actually 4 separate parks now. But if you plan ahead and play it smart, it can make a very rewarding family vacation. I recommend purchasing tickets in advance. We got a good deal on tickets online. We bought 3 day park hopper tickets. We used the park hopper feature a lot more than we thought we would, but it worked out best for getting…

My mom, who has multiple disabilities and has been really sick, announced a few weeks ago that she wanted to take me to Disney World for my birthday. Having planned to fly down to Florida for my birthday anyhow, and not wanting to refuse my mom anything, I agreed. Who am I kidding? I've always wanted to go to Walt Disney World! Of course, the fact that my mother needs a wheelchair to get around for anything more than a few steps was a concern of mine: a day ticket to The Magic Kingdom is $70, and I hated the idea of her spending that kind of money if there would be nothing for her to do at…

I hate DIsney. I hated it when my parents draggedme there at the age of 17 (my brother was 12) and I hated last November when my aunt chose it as our Family Reunion Destination. — — Growing up, I watched THe Wonderful World of Disney every Sunday evening and still claim Dumbo, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary poppins as some of my favorite movies. But Mickey Mouse and the gang? Never got it - they are not funny, not that cute, and just planin unentertaining to me. I loved Warner Bros.! Bugs Bunny, Porky Pig, and Daffy Duck over Donald any day of the week. — — At the…

I've been to Walt Disney World twice and I'm going again in December with my boyfriend. I can hardly wait for the upcoming trip because it is a combination of my FAVORITE place during my FAVORITE time of the year. We made reservations for breakfast with Winnie the Pooh and friends and I can't wait for that because ever since the day I was born I've always had a Pooh Bear. Disney is truly the happiest place on earth, and I will be able to enjoy it with the man who makes me the…

There truly is no place like Disney. It really is a place where dreams can come true. Unfortunately they come at a less than family friendly price! Disney tickets themselves are not cheap and for most of us we have to travel to the location as well. It was a disapointment the first time we went that we weren't cut more of a break inside the park with the prices we paid to get inside! You could easily pay for $10.00 for a coke & a hot dog from a vendor. You could go the theme resteraunts and they will be interesting with a nice atmosphere but if…

If you are planning a trip to Orlando do your homework first. Subscribe to Mousesavers.com. It gives great ideas to cost conscious travelers. If you are traveling with a pet do a search for hotels that cater to pets. We stayed at the Radisson Maingate for $70.00 a night and was able to take our two dogs. There was no extra charge and the hotel was only 10 minutes from the main gate. They have shuttles that will take you to and from the park. Try to travel there when kids are in school. You will find that it is less crowded. We usually go in April or May and have found that we…

We just returned from Walt Disney World in FL where my husband and I had a marvelous time. The weather wasn't very cooperative - it rained 7 out of 10 days we were there - but the Disney cast members proved the show could and would go on despite the weather. The shows were fantastic, the rides lots of fun, and the food was pretty awesome just about everywhere (better than expected in some cases). Overall, we really had a good time and are ready to go back, as soon as my tired feet…

I've read some of the reviews on Disney world travel. And yes it's expensive and takes alot of planning, but it is so worth it to see the light in your child's eyes when they meet a character or watch a parade-there a dozens of them-to have gone through all that for them to have a magical time. The budget motels are not bad it's like staying at a Days Inn or Super 8 but better if there's anything you need someone will assist you with it. My daughter was 6 when we went and of course had stuffed animals with her they were always neatly arranged in cute patterns by the maids every day when they…

my family has been to WDW 7 times, going every other year from when i was 7. We love it! the last trip we had was when i was in college and me and my older brother still bug our parents about taking us again... even though we are grown and out of the house! we always stayed at the Fort Wilderness trailers. i know what ur thinking, "trailers?? like single wide??" and yes, they are single wide trailers but they are way better than any hotel i have ever stayed at. they sleep alot and have a living room and full kitchen (which comes in handy when trying to save money…

Disney World is a magical vacation. A place where everyone is happy and you can forget about your troubles for a few days and have a great time. Every employee is kind and really wants you to have a good time. This helps create the magic. — My 6 year old was in a shop begging for a bag of rocks(she has 3 already). I refused because of the expense. The shop keeper let her pick out one and told her it was a special, magical rock, make a wish. That is just a small example. — The character meals are very special. Mickey comes over to the table to take pictures and sign autographs…

Disney World in Florida is a great place to bring your family, and is much larger than Disneyland, offering a little something for everyone. The best times to go are during the week when it isn't as busy, early in the morning or early evening. If you're traveling with older children or adults, it's worth it to get the fast passes if you're interested in going on roller coasters. Although you have to commit to staying at the park pretty much all day if you fast pass - sometimes you're told to come back to a ride hours later to avoid waiting in a long line. — — Saving money tips:…

Disney World is a great place to visit, especially if you have children. It can be expensive though. The best times to go are off-season (in the fall and after the holidays). Summer is the worst time to go, because everyone is on vacation. Yes, going during winter will be cold, but it's Florida, it doesn't get that bad. You'll want to hit all the popular rides first thing in the morning before they get too crowded. — The food can be expensive, but there are ways of handling that. We sometimes pack sandwiches and drinks in a cooler and go back…
