Walt Disney World - Orlando, FL Review

WOW!!! We just returned from a week at Disneyworld and I have to say it is THE BEST TIME our family has ever had together.  There is so much to do, so much to see, and the best part of it all is you're doing great stuff together as a family.  It doesn't matter if your young or old, grown or a child, you will have a TERRIFIC time at Disneyworld.

Going to Disneyworld as an adult was a very different experience than it was as a child.  But it's still just as fun as it ever was.  They've updated a lot of the rides that I enjoyed as a girl.  The Pirates of the Carribean now features Jack Sparrow from the movie!  And the Haunted Mansion is even more haunted than it used to be.  In other words, the park just keeps getting better.

There are thrill rides for the brave visitors like Space Mountain, Splash Mountain (LOVED IT!), and Big Thunder Mountain.  And they have very calm (but still fun) rides for those that aren't so brave like The Jungle Cruise, Dumbo, and their famous Carousel.

They've added a new land since I'd been last, which was Mickey's Toon Town.  There's only one ride there, which was a kiddie coaster called The Barnstormer (WE RODE IT OVER AND OVER), but there's other fun stuff to do there too.  You can tour Mickey & Minnie Mouse's houses, play in Donald's boat, and there are lots of great photo opporunities there too.

And this year, 2008, is the year of a Million Dreams at Disney!  Which is an awesome time to go because they give out prizes to random people at random times during the day.  We actually one of them!  We happened to be on the right seat, at the right time, on the right ride, and we won a Toy Story Toy package valued at over $ 350.00!!!!  Imagine that!  But they're giving out sooooo many other great packages!  They have cruises, vacations, park tickets, fast passes and much, much more!

Disney makes it so easy to travel from one park to another when you're staying at any one of their resorts.  Just wake up, hop a bus and you're there!  And depending on where you're staying, you may even be able to get there by boat or monorail.  Easy, huh?

YES I would recommend Disneyworld to anyone and everyone.  We visited in August and were very surprised at the low wait times and the pleasant weather.  I can't wait to go back and experience it all over again.
