my family has been to WDW 7 times, going every other year from when i was 7. We love it! the last trip we had was when i was in college and me and my older brother still bug our parents about taking us again... even though we are grown and out of the house! we always stayed at the Fort Wilderness trailers. i know what ur thinking, "trailers?? like single wide??" and yes, they are single wide trailers but they are way better than any hotel i have ever stayed at. they sleep alot and have a living room and full kitchen (which comes in handy when trying to save money by not eating out all the time). plus you get the whole "campsite experience" without having to actually camp. we never did the half disney/half universal studios thing like alot of people do. we were loyal to disney, plus to get the whole experience takes as many days as u can cram in. we always did the 5-6 day hopper which allowed us to do the magic kingdom, epcot, MGM, animal kingdom, and a waterpark, then have an extra day to do whatever. looking back, i guess what makes me love it so much is that its totally something my family and i bond over. its awesome to know that my dad would even get excited about being there even though he's not a people person and HATES crowds. and it makes me laugh that my brother still talks about wanting to go back and he looks up stuff about the old rides/attractions that are no longer running (btw, there are several myspace sites dedicated the old rides at epcot that he found- he's such a nerd!). i say if u have the chance to take ur family, u should, but do it right- plan it out, research it, and definitely save up for it, but definitely just GO!
