It's sad how sick these little fellas look at the store

I have been looking for a "fighting beta" fish and notice that Wal-mart had them, but their colors didn't look right (dull) and the water they were in didn't look clean. I felt bad for the little fellas and I think I will stay away from Wal-mart's fish area for buying fish.

And don't put a mirror by the bowl...makes them real cranky. I had a beta fish that lasted over two years...he drove my husband nuts...when my husband would eat the fish just watched him.
I was at Wal-mart one time looking at the fish and noticed this girl that worked there was feeding dead fish...Yeah, I had to tell her. SAD!

I got mine from PetSmart. Been going strong for six months or more now. Keep the water changed & feed him. DON'T buy two males...they'll fight one another to death. Wal-Mart? Where do they find thier employees; the stupid factory.

They looked so cramped in those containers too.

Never buy an animal from a place like Wal-Mart. And the poor fish were stressed from being moved as well as their poor environment.
