Wall-E —

Wall-E was another cartoon animation film with a target audience of kids. However, a movie goer could delve further into hidden meaning than any child would. This was a movie that makes a person really think about where they are headed.
It starts out showing Wall-E the robot that has been alone for 700 years. He is the only robot left cleaning up the garbage left behind by the human race. While he has been alone he has started collecting things of interest. They also show little bits of newspapers and news stations showing a little bit of what exactly happened.
One day a ship comes down and drops out a robot. Wall-E falls in love with her. And slowly she falls in love too. Until one day she turns off and Wall-E thinks she's dead. A few days go by and a ship comes to take her away. Wall-E holds on and learns the physics of space.
They come to the big ship where the humans have been living wastefully for the past 700 years. The girl robot (Eva) had found a plant that was growing on the Earth, meaning that the humans could go back!
While the plot of the story is not very complex, it is a generic love story. However, the hidden meanings are what the movie makers were trying to get to the people. There were quite a number of political statements. And it could be found offensive to larger people. However, it does point out some interesting lifestyles that are coming about.
This is a movie that if children go they won't understand the meanings. They'll only see the main plot.
The humans are all relatively large in size. They sit in comfortable chairs all day and eat. That is about it. They don't exercise, they just sit. One of the deeper meanings hidden within the cartoon movie.
This is definitely a cute movie. And it does have movie goers bringing their thinking caps along for this ride. I would definitely recommend it. It is a good wholesome movie!

I like your cons... good to know a toddler might not be engaged so much. My little guy wants to go to a movie again and we were thinking about this one... maybe not.
