Wall-E —

This movie was WAY too political to be billed as a kids movie!  Even as an adult I was thinking, can it end?

Kids under 10 are not going to 'get' that big stores are 'bad' they just keep seeing the same advertisements over and over...they see enough of that.  And I ahve come to really look forward to the colors of Pixar, but this fell flat I thought.  I get it that it is supposed to look destraught, but it was down right depressing!

I want my $23 back.

It seriously disturbs me how many people think this is about anti-consumerism or any other political POV, because it's been stated by the creators multiple times that THAT IS NOT THE POINT.

The creator of the movie has been quoted multiple times saying that the setting was created that way to help the love story, which IS what the movie is about. If the movie is any message movie, it's about love being more important than material. They had to make Earth and mess, and ge everybody off of it, and this was how they chose to do it.

Pixar doesn't make kids movies anyway. Just because it's clean and animated doesn't automatically make it a kids movie. Pixar makes movies for everybody.

The only "political" thing I've seen Disney or Pixar even mention for this, depite it not being the original point as I said, is that it couldn't hurt us to take care of the world around us. If that's become a political message, I'm sadned. I'd think, at least in simple things like reclying when it's avalable and only taking what you need, that'd be common sense.
