This afternoon I took my kids to see Wall-E and it was not a great call.

My kids are both toddlers and they got bored so easily in the movie. I think it was mostly due to the fact that Wall-E has very limited dialogue (like 20 total sentences!) and simple musical scores by Peter Gabriel. That requires the person watching to really pay attention and follow along. You know toddlers arent really good "watchers"!!!!

My kids, and the other toddlers (through about age 6) in the theater were ancy in the movie or asleep. Good thing we had a lot of snacks.

My husband and I enjoyed Wall-E with the creative animation, cute storyline and endearing characters. But, my kids werent nearly as won over. Bottom line: If you are a teenager, twenty-something, or even over about 10 years old, I say GO WATCH WALLE (and EVA). If not, opt for Kung Fu Panda.

If I want to get back at my husband, I'll send him to see this with my kids.

thanks for the heads up about the age thing. Who would have thought the younger ones would get bored by not enough dialogue. Thank you.

Yep. My daughter found out the hard way when she took my 3 year old grandson. He was so bored about 20 minutes into the movie that he began throwing popcorn and upturned her drink for amusement. Needless to say, she took him right home. :)

That was helpful to know since I have 3 young girls and we love going to the movies. I own a children's restaurant in Frankfort Il that serves the food on a train...a complete train experience and fun for the whole family...You should take your family there

Great to know. Mine are 11 and 12 and they both are asking to see this one. They both got to see Kung Fu Panda without me when they were at the Y last week. :-(

Ahhh now I know. Colleen loves the trailers on disneyxd. I think I will just keep showing her those instead of spending the money on a too long movie for her.
