Quick View: I bought this set because my husband bought me a similar set only in platinum with diamonds. I can't bear to wear the good set so I bought a duplicate. This is a good, if a tad bit gaudy, set of jewelry. It doesn't rival my good set but I don't have to worry about losing the pieces.

This is so embarrassing. My husband bought me the most beautiful diamond and platinum three stone earrings and necklace set for our 20th anniversary. It was stunning. Breathtaking. Precious. So much so that I couldn't bear to wear it more than maybe twice. I love it but I am so scared I will lose it that I freak when I wear it so ... I bought a duplicate set. This set is a bit bigger than my good set but looks similar. I wear it and don't worry that it will get lost and, ironically, it never does. However, the minute I put my good set on, an earring will be gone or the chain will bust.

Having said ALL that...

This set represents the past, present and future with the three stone design. The set is all sterling silver and the stones are prong set cubic zirconias that do look very real. I just wish the stones were a bit smaller because, when you wear fake diamonds, big ole rocks usually don't look real. My actual set has smaller stones that are dainty and beautiful. This set has somewhat larger ones but still, not too outrageous.

The chain is 18 inches long with a typical clasp closure. The earrings, which are NOT as big as the photos represent, are posts. My real set is designed slightly differently than this one but this is as close as I could get. I have no idea why I won't wear any of my good jewelry but I just value it too much to enjoy it. That is so lame. But this set, at only around $18.00, actually looks quite nice and sparkles beautifully. I have had a few compliments on it and a few people have the gall to ask me if the stones were real. Sheesh, of course they are. Real cubic zirconias! Ha!

The silver doesn't tarnish and has a high shine. Although this doesn't rival my real set, it's a nice semi-duplicate set to wear when the occasion calls for it. I do wear my good set on our anniversary and for very special occasions. I really need to get out of the habit of not wearing my good jewelry. My father gave me a lovely gold and amethyst ring, necklace, and earrings set years ago and the first time I wore it was at his wake. That is just wrong. I didn't want to lose it so I duplicated that set too.

At any rate, this is an inexpensive, shiny set that would make a good gift or would look nice on you for somewhat formal occasions.
