Quick View: This blanket is amazing. It is so soft and cuddly that I can't even believe it. It is thin enough for all seasons but warm enough for cooler weather. It washes well and looks nice. And it's inexpensive. I have two and each of my sons have one and none of us are willing to part with them.

About the Wal-Mart Microplush Blanket - All Sizes

Many of you know that Mr----X here on VP is my son but what you don't know is that he is super picky about what blankets he uses. He always has been. Just like me when I was a kid, he had to test blankets out before they got his approval. Now, at two days away from 22 years old, he is still checking out blankets and choosing wisely. He recently moved into his own apartment and went on a Wal-Mart buying spree. He called me and told me he found an incredible blanket that I just HAD to feel. It takes a lot for him to call me gushing over a blanket so I told him to pick me up one.

Wow. He was right. This blanket is amazing. I have since bought another one for myself and one for my younger son. This microplush blanket comes in all sizes and in four colors. It is not a heavy blanket as far as weight. In fact, it almost looks like a huge plush bath blanket. But it feels like heaven. It is soft and sort of fuzzy. Cuddling up with this blanket is crazy comfortable. Although I am always cold, I like to be cool when I sleep. So, a blanket like this is perfect for me. It's not excessively warm but it does keep the chill away and feels so GOOD!

This blanket washes fine and comes out of the drier fluffier and softer. My dog is claiming the taupe one as his own and I sense he will win and I will have to replace that one. I just hope the cats don't each want one. This blanket is perfect for snuggling on the couch watching TV on cool nights, draping over your shoulders while working on the computer or reading and, of course, for sleeping. My husband literally stole our first one. I couldn't believe he took it and wrapped himself up in it, leaving me out in the cold! Hence the second for myself.

The best part is the price. This blanket runs from $14.88 (twin) to $24.88 (king) and is available on and offline at Wal-Mart. It makes a great gift and a great everyday blanket for all. I love it and so does my picky son. My 17 year old son, who usually likes to use his camo sleeping bag, won't part with his blanket now and that's saying a lot. He fancies himself a he-man who doesn't like frills or needless stuff. A sleeping bag is all he needs at night. Well, until this blanket came along.

My Viewpoint

This is by no means the best quality blanket in the world but it is very inexpensive and so so so soft and warm. I just can't imagine anyone not thinking the blanket is amazing feeling. It's just heavy enough to take off the chill and snuggle with. I give this 5 stars for price, the way it feels, durability, and all around usefulness. It blows comforters and scratchy blankets away!
