Wal-Mart Ground Beef —

Most people look at you crazy when you tell them that you do your grocery shopping at Wal-Mart.  I know, many years ago, when I went to my first "super" store, I thought it was ridiculous to sell grocery items with other non-grocery items.  However, since that time, I've become a fan of shopping at Wal-Mart for my food items.  First of all it is less expensive for me than shopping in a standard grocery store.  Especially since they have a price match program where they will match any competitor's sale price if you bring in the sale paper.  The meats that I've purchased over the past couple of years have been good quality meats.  I have found that Wal-Mart does not re-pack old meat (or at least I've not come across any).  If you don't know what that is, let me tell you.  Some meat counters will take packaged ground beef that has been out and hasn't sold and re-pack it.  They open the old pack and conceal the old meat inside some fresh ground meat and then repack it.  When the customer sees it, it appears to be fresh meat, but when they get it home and crumble it or break it apart, the center is already starting to brown.  I appreciate the fact that Wal-Mart doesn't do this (to my knowledge) and will continue to shop there and recommend it to others in the future.

GROUND MEAT:
I dont know anymore whats in any package meat anymore. I know for a fact that after purchasing my ground meat the top layer was pinkish but when about to cook it at home the middle was gray. It did not smell bad, but look like gray cardboard.
STEAKS
Great looking steaks, once again, add the usual seasoning to find out that the meat was extreamly salty--my husband cant eat salty food, ruined dinner for both of us.
PORK
Same story as the Steaks---I believe the meats are injected with some type of preservative that contains high levels of salt. As I know salt is used to preserve the life of food---while is Killing Us.
SHAME ON YOU WALMART
