Wal-Mart Baton Bubble Stick —

I found these Baton Bubble Sticks at Wal-Mart for $1 per wand. Each wand contains 3.9 ounces of bubble solution in a long tube. The long wand has a lid that screws on, so they are easily portable, and the wands are flexible and easy to place into and pull out of the tube.

Big Bubbles...Little Bubbles...You Choose:

  • If you want to make large bubbles, just wave the wand back and forth or turn around in a circle while holding the wand away from the body.
  • If you want to make smaller bubbles, hold the wand up and blow.

The Downside...Bubble STUFF everywhere or No Bubbles at All:

  • Once you have used up about half of the bubble solution, it is difficult to fill the wand with bubble solution. If the wand is not completely filled, it does not tend to make bubbles.
  • If you tip the tube sideways, the bubble solution tends to run out the side and make the outside of the tube messy. They say that boys kind of like messes. I have three girls who at time like messes and at times must go inside and wash hands and change clothes and have a meltdown as a result of an unplanned mess.
  • Small children often think that they have sufficiently screwed on a lid when they have not. (Perhaps I need to write a review on my paper towels next...)

My Viewpoint:

My kids had a blast using these Wal-Mart baton bubble sticks...until the solution tended not to fill the bands. Once they had to tip the tube and ended up getting bubble solution on the outside of the tube and pants and shoes, they wanted to move on to other games. I am still recommending these because they are portable and make for lots of fun. If you have extra bubble solution, you could avoid the above problems by refilling the tubes when the solution begins to get low. I would also suggest carefully checking behind little ones to ensure that they did, in fact, securely screw the lid on the tube before lying it sideways on a horizontal surface.

I found these at Wal-Mart. They tend to be with the seasonal items for summer, but I also found them with the toy section just last week. I've also seen something similar at Dollar General with the summer supplies. Hope that helps!

Thanks for reading and commenting. I haven't used wands before so I didn't have a comparison. I'm glad you found them to work well too!

These are the only wands I've found to make great bubbles every time - my kids love them and it's the only kind I buy!

It was 1.00 and so I was able to actually get one for each girl which makes it a winner :-D it is tough to get the lid on tight after using to stop leaks.

Thanks for the awesome feedback! I followed bubbles all over the yard and actually got two different shots of big bubbles. I am hoping to put the other on my profile page. There was almost no wind that day--that really helped!

The price is great! However, I am still amazed at how you got a picture of that big bubble--it's beautiful ;+)
