As you will note, the only 'con' I could find was the cold room service soup. And please let me say that I like my soup nearly boiling, so it's never right when I order it out. The W Mexico City is exactly what a W should be - well designed, detail consious and accommodating as heck.
The W Mexico City is located in the very charmign Polanco neighborhood, where shops (think standard 'nice area' shops - Tiffany, Lacoste, Zenga, etc.), galleries, restaurants and nightlife are plentiful. We started our stay with a pleasant check-in. The lobby is great, not too big, not too small - with a bar handy for any immediate cocktail needs. The room was huge (we had the 'spectacular room') - particularly for an urban area such as Mexico city - there was a small sofa/sitting area. The bathroom was really cool with a huge 'rainforest shower/space' and hammock. (Some of the rooms come with tubs, ours did not.) There was in-room entertainment - DVD and CD player - and room service that was just fine (not including the cold soup:)).
Some general hotel amenities include: the Away Spa and Fitness center, pets welcome and a gift store for cool/unique souvenirs. They also have a variety of packaged offers - ranging from "What's life without a little spontaneity" to "Why, isn't this Suite?" For those visiting Mexico City and in need of high design in a great neighborhood, definitely check out the W Mexico City.
