Decription

Sophie the Giraffe is a cute rubber, non-toxic giraffe designed and produced in France for the last 40 years. The interior is hollow and the animal squeaks when squeezed. It is painted with food paint, white with brown spots and brown accents on the ears and feet. The eyeys are black and there is pink on the mouth. The product is recommended for 0-3 months + and is labelled as the only teething toy you may ever need. The giraffe stands at around 7 inches tall and is fully bendable.

Sophie the Giraffe was given to me as a gift at my baby shower, at first...

Sophie the Giraffe was a gift to my second son when he was born.  My mother purchased it, and I remember looking at it and thinking "This is the strangest thing ever.  She gave us a dog toy."  And when we took it out of the package, and it squeaked, my thoughts were confirmed.

And then my oldest started teething his molars.  And he was trying to stick anything he could find, regardless of it's shape, into the back of his mouth.  After he got a circular toy stuck in his mouth, I looked over and saw Sophie.  i handed it to him and he immediately stuck it's legs in and was able to direct it...

My brother purchased Sophie the Giraffe off of Amazon for my daughter, and when I first saw it I thought it looked like a dog toy because it squeeks and is made of rubber! But, I looked it up online and found out that it is MUCH more then that. First off, the spots on the giraffe give babies a great contrast while looking she looks at Sophie, and also the legs, neck, etc. offer great teething comfort, at least my daughter loves to chomp on Sophie's legs. Also, Sophie will squeek when she has been nibbled on in just the right spot, which gives my daughter great delight, too! Sophie can stand up...

I did not have a Sophie toy for my first daughter although it was around back then it has been around for a very long time and was given it as a gift for my second daughter. I love this toy. It is made with all natural rubber and in a world where everything is so unsure and who knows what sort of recall is going to happen next it gives me a little bit of comfort knowing they have been around for a long time and that they have a commitment to using natural products.  The legs and head is just the right size for my little girls fingers and she loves to grab it and it feels great on her gums. I have purchased Sophie the Giraffe as my friend recommended, My baby Looooves it, it come with us wherever we go, I hade to purchase another one in case we can't find it!!!

I highly recommend it besides my baby loving it it's a very safe toy free of chemicals, I know my baby is safe while chewing on it!!!

I bought Sophie the Giraffe for my grandson and it is his favorite teething toy.  It is small enough for his tiny hands to be able to grip comfortably and flexable enough for his teething needs. He has two of them...one for the house and one that stays in the car to keep him happy when he goes on long ca rides. Sophie looks so innocent but ask any baby....and you will be surprised to find out how many babies choose Sophie over any other teether.

I had read reviews of this giraffe in several baby magazines and when I finally found one it didn't disappoint! The rubbery giraffe is very durable and sturdy and my baby loved the little squeak that it makes.  It is easy to grip and safe to chew on. I love that it has a vintage look as well. My 16-month-old still loves his Sophie giraffe! This would make a great baby shower gift.
