i EXPECTED A BIT MORE FROM THESE HANDSETS.  I thought that the range would be better than the previous handset that I had, since these were 5.8 ghz and my previous was only a 2.4 I hear lots of static and I am only 20 ft away from main base.  Did not like product at all, also screen broke on its first...

I was in the market for a new phone, and wanted several features but didn't want to pay a small fortune. Most important was caller id, cordless handset, and answering machine.

I really neededd the answering machine, as my phone company wants your first born for voicemail capabilites. I also have a two story home, but only one phone jack, so cordless was a must. Like so many others, I screen calls, and caller id was a neccessity.

Amazing Value for the price.

I love my VTech - ia5863 Phone.  The best feature is the built in phone directory.  I no longer need to remember combinations of buttons to reach my saved numbers.  I just scroll through and find the number I want.

I also love the feel of this phone.  It fits perfectly in my hand.  It's not too big and not too small.

It's a very good phone for the small pricetag.

I got this phone and have had a few issues with it.  Sometimes when you hit talk and say Hello the other person does not hear you.  You need to wait about 3 sec. before saying Hello so the caller can hear you.  I would probably buy another set, but only because of cost, not because of the product itself.

The Vtech phone is light weight ringtone is excellent some misgivings when it comes to the answering machine not as simple as should be.  The charge on the phone last for days unlike cordless phones I have had in the past.  I highly recommend this product.

This is the 2nd Vtech phone I've bought and once again I'm disappointed in it.  The interference with other cordless phones in the area is terrible whereas my previous phone there was none
