My daughter received the V-Tech VSmile for Christmas a couple of years ago.  She is now 4 years old and she loves to play on it.  The VTech VSmile is very child friendly as far as turning the system on and off and putting the game controller in the appropriate slot.  It is however difficult for...

I bought this for my son when he was about 9 months, but it's only now that he's really started to spend any time with it.  He doesn't really care for it when it's hooked up to the TV, but will spend some time with it just using the 'keyboard' part.  I hope he'll use it more as he gets older, but for...

I love that the V-tech V-smile is educational as well as entertaining for my 5 year old son and his friends. The game selection is broad enough to keep us interested, while being affordable enough to keep us buying. The joystick is a great way to improve a childs hand eye coordination as they learn to navigate through game levels. Also available is the writing instrument that is perfect for the beginning writer or the more experienced. Lots of fun for the whole family!

The V-Smile is a great learning toy that is a video game system that plugs into the television.  My son is expanding his hand eye coordination by using the controller; his counting has improved as has his ability to identify colors and letters.  The games use his favorite characters from PBS, which helps to keep him interested in using the machine and playing the games.

A special feature of the V-Smile is the microphone that amplyfies his voice through the television speakers.  My son (and his sisters) love to hear their voices coming from the television!  They laugh and giggle together...

I purchased a Vtech V-Smile for my son a year ago, when he was three years old, and he still plays his games regularly. He has 7 games now, and he loves them all. He has also learned a great deal from playing his V-Smile. He can recognize his letters and numbers by sight, he has learned to organize things in groups, he has learned his shapes and colors, and he has also learned to take turns. I love the fact that he not only is having fun, he is also learning. Now, my two year old daughter is also playing the V-Smile game with him, and he is teaching her how to play. I am really glad that I...

We bought this Vtech V-smile for my daughter for Christmas one year. I have to say it was one of the best gifts that she got! She loved all the animations and the games that went along with the system. My daughter has always loved to learn. She loves books and puzzles. However, I was a bit concerned with her fine motor skills and this game system really helped. I was able to see her relate things on the tv to her previous knowledge ability.  She was able to increase her ability to play the games with out any frustrtation. I liked playing the games along with her

The games are reasonally priced,...

I bought this toy for my daughter when she turned 3. She always wanted to play my nephews play station but I felt she was too young for that kind of play. I researched video games for her age group and came up with VTECH. My daughter began by playing the game that came with the system. She learned about colors, numbers, songs, alphabet, you name it. It only took her a couple tries to figure out the controller. She also loved to sing the nursery rhymes and alphabet in the attached microphone. This toy is very educational but also fun. She probably didn't even realize she was learning about all these...

I have a 3 and a 5 year old they both love this game system we have almost all of the games for 6 and under.  All of the games are educational which of course I love and they are really fun for the kids also.  My biggest concern is that the games are kind of generic and not real interactive like the other systems such as playstation and WII.  I know those games are a lot mor expensive however when I first purchased V-smile the age group went up to 13 and my son is 5 and already he is asking for something more exciting such as the PS2 or WII, I was hoping this would last him longer than a couple...

V-Smile is very fun for kids to play with adult supervision.  The games are educational, as wel as entertaining.  There is a large variety of games to choose from which vary in age levels as well.  My kids started playing around the age of 2 to 3, and my oldest is still playing at the age of eight.  We have experienced lots of difficulties with powering our V-Smile, though.  We originally started with 4 C batteries, but they only powered it for about 2 hours before dying.  We then moved on to the ac adaptor (sold separately), but still experienced problems.  The power button does not work...

Worried about letting your kids play video games? Afraid their vulnerable minds will turn to slush? Feel guilty about constantly saying no to their requests to either buy or play a video game? Worry no more. Though you will hopefully not let them play 24 hours a day, I think the pediatrician recommended limit of 24 hours of tv/video games could be well spent on this system. Not only is it education, teaching the child math, reading, comprehension, science, and so much more, it is also very durable. Who doesn't remember  having to blow into the original nintendo cartridges to make them work, or...

My nephew loves his Vsmile. We got it for him for Christmas. A lot of times he prefers it over the other game system, the xbox in which we buy children friendly games for. We like that this is educational and fun. There are many games to choose from at just the right age level. Some of them are surprisingly kinda hard but easy to figure out. It makes them think and they get so happy when they figure out how to pass each level of the game. I like that the vsmile motion games also work with the vsmile it gives more games to play. The controller is perfect for little hands and it lasts. My nephew...

I am not a big fan of video games and sitting more hours in front of the T.V. than kids do now. But this toy is very educational! We were given this toy for christams and i was not sure i even wanted to plug it in. but we did and the kids have really enjoyed learning through all of the 10 games we now own. We also own the travel version. we have 5 children ages 0-1-4-7-11 and the baby is the only one that dose not play it. i think vtech dose a great job on this being all age friendly which is nice that they dont grow out of it to soon. The controller is for right hand or left hand which help us...

I purchased the Vtech V-Smile for my grandchildren ages 2, 4 and 5. It has such a wide range of programs you are able to purchase that all three of them can enjoy this player and have fun while they are learning. The controllers are easy for them to handle and the programs are very diversified. I really feel this was worth the money and if it can stand up to three boys the way it has, then it is certainly well made.
