My dog is terribly allergic to fleas. If he gets one, it is like he has 100 and if he gets 100, he is bald. He will chew and scratch himself until his skin is raw and bleeding. But, of course, we don't let things get that far now that we know his issues.

We use Advantage (see review) for flea control...

Vpl Adams Flea and Tick is hardly worth the money. There are other flea and tick shampoos out there that do the same job.......but cost less. This shampoo did not kill all the fleas on my dogs and I was very dissatisfied........as were my dogs. I followed the directions to the "T". The price is too high... read full review »

we have had a really bad infestation of fleas this year, i have never seen so many ever!! and I live in a very rural area and my dog is indoors at night and likes to spend her daytime outside romping in the grass, she brought in some unwelcome guests and the poor cats got to meet them.

I actually gave my cats a bath!!  - leaving the shampoo on for 5 min was a pain

I didnt have time to bathe both the dog and the cats at the same time, I probably didnt leave the shampoo on my cats long enough so it didnt kill the fleas, however, I was able to keep it on my dog for the full 5 min and she is still...

      This shampoo is AWESOME!! There is no other shampoo that works as well as Adams. I have always had many dogs, and I have used Adams for many years. My dogs don't like it to well, but, they feel a lot better!! :o) They smell and look fresh and clean, not a real strong smell, it leaves their hair soft and doesn't dry out their skin, and your dogs don't have fleas and ticks!! Everyone I know that have pets, I tell about Adams Flea and Tick Shampoo!!

WE USED THIS LAST WEEK AND IM SOLD! WE BROUGHT OUR DOG TO A RELATIVES HOME OVER THE HOLIDAY, THEY HAD A OUTBREAK OF TICKS :( WE USED THIS SHAMPOO AND I AM VERY PLEASED. IT LATHER VERY WELL YOU DONT NEED ALOT. SHE STILL SMELLS GREAT NOT OVERPOWERING. THE SHINE THIS HAD LEFT ON MY DOGS FUR IS AMAZING! WE HAVE NOT FOUND ONE TICK OR FLEA ON HER. I PLAN TO KEEP A BOTTLE HANDY. THE ONLY DOWNSIDE IS HAVING TO LEAVE IF ON FOR 5 MINS AS SHE IS VERY HYPER.

I have used Adams flea products for many years and have always had good results with it. It kills as well as repells fleas and ticks and is fairly safe in comparison to other products on todays market. I was a pro dog groomer for a time and have recommended Adams flea shampoo and flea spray to my clients as well as used it in my own home and kennel. It is a cost effective way to control the fleas while keeping your pet coat healthy and clean.

Our animal Rescue group baths all the new animals with Adams Flea and Tick shampoo before allowing them with other animals in  the shelter.  It truly is a good product and I would advise anybody taking in a stray to use it.  People don't believe dogs get lice but they do and this is one of the few products that kills them fast.  Revolution also works very well in this area.

I bought a couple and they were useless. I should not have wasted my money so don't buy it. Believe Me Vpl Adams Flea and Tick Shampoo is the worst.! I hope you dont waste your money on this crap its not worth it. It smelled OK but i still wouldnt buy it if i were you.

I have had the worst year yet for fleas and I have tried everything i could afford to get my hands on.  Adams has done the best job yet.  Kills fleas immediately and I have yet to find anymore babies.
