Space heaters make me very nervous. I've heard too many stories of bad things happening. So this space heater gets high marks from me. We needed something to heat a playroom and this works for us. Moves the air around the whole room and yet the heater itself never feels overly hot. We had a different unit that kept tripping our circuits but this one doesn't draw too much electricity. Safety This heater feels very safe compared to others I've seen and used.

I have used Vornado whole room heaters now for the past 5-6 years and will not buy any other brand! These heaters circulate the air and mix the warm air with the room air in a way that the heat is evenly disbursed. No more warm areas only in front of the heater, these heaters will warm an entire medium sized room (we use ours in our motor home that has a room approximately 8 x 20). Performance When the temperatures drop and we want to save on propane use (our furnace runs on propane), we plug in our Vornado and set the thermostat for a comfortable temperature. With the heater set to 'Auto' the heater will maintain that temperature that is set on the thermostat. When the room is at that temperature, the unit quits heating and will recirculate the room air. The heating will resume when it senses the room air has dropped below the temperature set. I have found that this heater will perform wonderfully if outside temperatures are not below 30 F and also if it is not very windy (as I stated before, we use it in a motor home) as our insulation does not allow the heat to be maintained well in these conditions. Ease of Use Can't get much easier! Plug it in, set it in an area that is open to the whole room, set the thermostat to the desired temperature to maintain and set the mode to Automatic! Walaah, you have now completed all that is needed to properly use this whole room portable heater! Durability I have used this heater nightly during fall, winter, and early spring and it has run flawlessly for nearly 5 years! Design The design of this heater is, in my humble opinion, sleek, modern, and just nice looking for any room design! It isn't a large unit that sticks out like a sore thumb in the room, it blends right in to any decor. Safety This heater does not have a large open element that can burn fingers. The element is enclosed inside the unit and because it circulates on and off depending on the temperature, it isn't heating all the time. It also has a shut off switch that activates if the unit is not sitting in it's normal upright position.

We bought this heater to help warm up certain rooms when the weather started getting cool, and it makes a big difference! The heater is very small and light, but even on the lowest setting our living room was noticeably warmer within a few minutes! The design is clever and well thought out--it has a handle that makes it easier to carry from one room to another and is designed so that if you pick it up or if it tips over, it automatically turns off. The only thing that could have been improved is perhaps the level of heat related to the speed of the fan. Sometimes it feels more like cool or room temperature air is coming out than hot air if I'm sitting a couple yards away, and that can actually make me feel cooler instead of warmer. Over all, though, I love this little space heater and I'm incredibly glad we got it. Very high recommendations! Performance Works very well, only iffy thing is the heat is sometimes outweighed by the fan. Durability I love how it automatically turns off when you pick it up or if it turns over. You don't have to worry about handling it roughly!
