This is a nice little heater for those cold spaces in your house. It's not going to heat up a large room. However, if you have a small bedroom, or even just want a little more heat while you veg out in front of the TV, this will get the job done. It has a nice shut off feature, so that if it gets tipped over, the power cuts out and so it won't light your house on fire. Performance I don't know much about how these things are rated, but I can tell you that it's really just enough heat for one person (or I guess two if they are sitting close together). It's ideal for a home office (under a desk) or maybe in a cold bathroom. It's not going to heat up a big space and the heat mostly stays near the heater itself. Ease of Use Pretty simple...plug it in, then turn it on to low or high or fan only. Not really much to think about! I use it under my desk in my office. The switches are very easy to understand. There is an on/off switch, and the other switch has low, high, and fan-only. Not very fancy, but it works well. Durability I only use this occasionally on really cold days, but I've had the heater for a few years and had no problems with it. Design It is great for a small heater. Like I said, it doesn't spread heat out very well, but it is only for a small space. It has a nice safety switch that shuts it off if the heater is tipped over. Safety There is a safety switch that shuts the heater off if it is tipped over, which is a nice benefit because it will help prevent a fire. The unit itself doesn't get hot to the touch either, so between the safety switch and the lack of hot surfaces, I think there is very minimal fire risk.

Great for small spaces and has some nice safety features that really makes it stand out from the crowd. Performance We use this model heater to warm our small bathroom. It works great in this small area and gets it warm quickly and keeps it nice and cozy so we're not cold getting out of the bath. I don't think it would be enough for a large area but it works great for what we need it for. Ease of Use This heater is super easy to use. It's compact which helps it to be easy to find space for and it has very simple functions. It has two switches, one for on and off, the other for the low/fan/high control. That's it! Simple and uncomplicated. Safety This heater comes with an auto shut off feature that activates if the heater tips over. This is a great feature and if you even lightly pick up the heater to move it over it shuts off until it's sat back down correctly. So I know that the feature works and it does help me to feel better about using this type of heater. I also love that this heater stays cool to the touch. Most space heaters you could get burned easily just by being too close, not to mention if you actually touched your skin to it. Well the Vornado heats differently than most, helping it therefore to stay completely cool to the touch. If your like me and have children to worry about, this is a great feature to help you have a little peace of mind, not having to worry about the kids getting burned by accidentally getting too close to the unit.

Performance The key to this heater is in the name - personal - it's not powerful enough to heat a large room, but it is fine for small areas, such in a cold office, which is where I use mine. My office is about 10x10, and this heater raised the room temperature from 65 degrees to 70 in about 15 minutes, with the door closed. The fan can be run by itself, but it isn't enough to replace what you might want in a fan for summer use - it doesn't move enough air to be refreshing. Keep this for winter only. Ease of Use Only three settings, so of course, it doesn't have anything like a programmable thermostat or a remote control, but at this price and given it's size, I didn't expect those features. Safety It will turn itself off if it's tipped over, which is really essential for any space heater.

Small, quiet, and safe - but not particularly powerful. Performance Perfect for under a desk or other small enclosed area, but it does not put out a lot of heat or move a lot of air. Ease of Use Two buttons - on/off and high heat/low heat/fan only. Can't get a lot easier than that! Durability All plastic, but seems to be fairly well-constructed. Design For it's tiny size, it's pretty efficient. Safety Has an automatic shut-off if it's tipped over.
