reliant on my phone, Every day computer user, somewhat tech savvy, appreciative of good service, experienced parent, expect quality

Cons

not dependable, rebate on equipment not a real rebate, frequently drops calls, tech support not knowledgable, terrible sound quality, Awful Service, must have active broadband, must register your location for 911, no call block option others have, poor customer service, sound quality not the best but improving, disconnect fee if less than 2 years

Vonage - You probably have seen the tacky commerials about how great and relible they are, I have many CONS and One Pro to add to this article of review.

What is it.. (A box you hook up to your computer)A phone line threw you computer system,That claims to be fast, reliable,and of great service.

For me it was quite the Oppisite,I would NEVER Ever recommend this as a primary phone-line to anyone I know and I would personally give them my brand new box system for free !! If they wanted to try it; That I had to buy out of pocket for over a hundred ++something dollars + Tax. No takers after the ordeal we went threw.

Cons :

~~~ Switching your main phone number from your cell to vonage,A joke took a long time just get a new number from them."took a long time!"

~~~~~Works good with any phone bought in store --- No Not True you have to buy a Decent 150.00 + digital phone to go with it . Believe me we tried a few...

"I felt like I was on the verizon commercial-"Can You Hear Me Now??? changing channels. This device reminds me of a walkie talkie-(The changing channels and such.)"

~~~~Always on running in the "back round" of your computer; so it does slow down your surfing/page veiwing..

~~~Getting your messages are a hassle/somewhat frustrating; you will recieve them up to hours later after they have came in....and sometimes right away~~~

***I missed "Two Very Important Calls" Regarding "My Children",One sick at school that I never got to pick up and was stuck there while I was home next to the phone,message wasn't recieved till later that night,although the time that it came in was correct. another was to pick up my son after school..***

~~Do not fall for the 30 days free,"You will be billed a disconnect notice !!!"~~~**Read all the fine print in your contract** ~~~

I would never recommend this service until they have been around for alot longer/ or/ Never !!! For anyone that has Children or Medical Problems this phone is not reliable !!!

The one pro :

None of your friends and family will call you anymore"If thats your thing" because it's so unrelible, My phone calls went down alot ....

I unfamilar with that company"Comquest" I have heard the name before that's about it, Vonage left a scar on me,I'm not ready to jump into another company right away, My first cell phone company was a nightmare too many years ago,(When cell phones were first starting to get popular)"I can't remember the name they went out of business or another company bought them out." But I have found a good/decent company that works well for us..

THAT's why I went with Comcast!

Also, if you really want it buy it from a store,not vonage !! at least you can return it !! within'14-30 days depending on store policy,don't forget to note that to choose what store has the longest policy.
