While the 2001 Volvo S40 is considered to have a great style inside and out, owners have noticed a few problems with the Volvo S40 2001 model. I loved the car for the first couple of years, and then it began to stall on me on the interstate. Volvo is a safe car but expensive to maintain

I bought my 2001 Volvo S40 turbo when it was about 3 months old. It had been used as a loaner car at the dealer and had about 3k miles on it. Initially I loved my car. I had all the extra features. Sunroof, heated seats, all wheel drive shifter, back windeshield deicer, etc. The gas mileage was great. I didn't realize when I purchased the car that I can only go to a dealer to even get the oil changed.
