Volkswagen New Beetle - 2005 Reviews

My 2005 Volkswagen Beetle GLS TDI is one of the best cars I have ever owned.  I love it and it has been a great little car that gets great fuel mileage and has saved me a lot of money. Now that it is broken in I get 50-53 miles per gallon on the highway and it goes well in the Colorado ice and snow in the winter time,  It is the GLS model with the cool wheels, heatedleather seats, a sunroof and a 6 CD changer in the trunk.  The backseat is pretty much non existent as far as any adult passengers go but if you are going to be hauling around a bunch of people you probably wouldn't get a Beetle...

My 2005 Beetle TDI has been great but has had some minor albeit irritating problems. It has a weird sensor problem where it locks itself about 30 seconds after I open it. The handle to put the driver's seat forward broke off the first time I touched it. The cup holders are awful -- you can't put two large cups in them.

But all of that pales when compared to the reliability of the car and the MPG. It also has a ton of room in it, which seems to surprise everyone. Plus it's a fun car to drive, and it's a Beetle!
