Safe, but needs interior fixing

We bought our 2002 vw jetta used becuase we were looking for a safer car once we knew we were expecting. I love how safe I feel in my car, however there have been 2 recalls since we have owned the car. In addition, the wheel caps have fallen off, the glove box handle has broken, and the center console has broken. The glove box alone is going to cost over $100 to fix because it isn't covered under warranty. All in all, I wouldn't reccomend an older jetta to any of my friends. But I would buy a current year passat, toureg, or eos.
