Vocalpoint.com is sponsored by Proctor and Gamble and is a website designed by women just for women. It provides women with the opportunity to try new products, get coupons for new products, get information on a variety of topics from cleaning to careers and share your opinion on many topics, including the product samples or discounts its members are provided with. Unlike many sites, this one does not demand participation from its members after receipt of samples or coupons, but does ask that all members participate in as many opportunities as possible.
Vocalpoint Opportunities:
Activities: Vocalpoint.com offers a few activities periodically. These activities provide you with the offer to "join in" and when you do you are led to a page that describes the product and how it is used. You simply join in, sit back and wait for the coupons or sample to come in the mail.
Message Boards: Vocalpoint.com also offers its members a message board. It is designed to encourage discussion about the different activities you can join as well as your thoughts or results using the products. But other messaging activity takes place such as recipe exchanges, parenting and partnering tips, career advice, dieting, healthy living and everyday "mommy" matters.
Surveys:Vocalpoint.com also offers surveys on a variety of topics, but these are the "just for fun" kind. Right now they cover sunscreen protection, mom's night out, summer wardrobes and good hair days. There is no payment or points. But you can view the survey results.
Did You Know? Vocalpoint.com offers in this section several different articles with helpful information on a variety of mom topics including saving money, gas prices. technology and health and beauty. The articles are informational only.
To Join Vocalpoint.com simply visit their website and register to join. They do limit their membership to parents of children under the age of 19. There is no cost or fee to join and free samples are coupons are mailed with no shipping or handling charges.
My Viewpoint on VocalPoint: Vocalpoint is very easy to join and does not fill my email in box with too many messages. It only sends me messages when there are new activities to join, so it is nice that I do not have to sort through the remainder of the offers simply to join an activity. However, the activities are very limited in nature, and do not change often. The hair color offer still posted has actually been on their several months (so long the coupons have already expired). I have received free samples of Fuze as well as coupons for future purchases or to share, Kashi Cereal samples and coupons, Special K and Natural Instincts Hair Color as well as Pledge Multi Surface Wipes. Each sample also includes several coupons designed to give away or use for your own purchases.
I rarely participate in the surveys except to report my results on samples or coupons but sometimes just view the results for fun. The message boards were very helpful (particularly around the holidays when I was looking for a unique recipe idea). The "Did You Know" articles are timely and cover a wide range of topics, so many people can enjoy them.
Overall, while Vocalpoint.com is fun and I love getting the free products and coupons, the site overall is average. The activities do not change often enough to have a great deal of variety or sometimes I do not get notification of new activities, so have to visit the site just to see what is available. The limiting nature of the site keeps someone like my sister from being able to participate, even though she would enjoy not only the products and discounts but the discussion boards also.
