If this TV was a woman, I'd marry her......

First Time LDC TV buyer, an early adopter, New to HD, computer literate, cable user

It all started when the local grocery store chain that employs me stocked some 42" LCD TVs for Christmas. Before that, I thought I was just fine with my 9 year old 32" Sanyo CRT television. Yep, with the employee discount we were getting at the time, I could get me a big screen high-def TV for a mere $650.00. That got me doing some research on-line and what I discovered didn't result in buying that particular TV. Something much worse happened. I found myself with a raging case of "Big-Screen HDTV Fever".

Go ahead get it!!!

I bought this TV after about 6 months of researching and waiting for the prices to drop I finally bought it a couple of days ago. I love it. Very easy to set up. Took it straight from the box and plugged it in and started watching! It was well worth the money 898.00 at Wal-Mart. I would definitely go for the Vizio. I have several friends who own one and after reading all the reviews. I think it is the one to get!! So, I did:-)

An excellent picture and all around great TV

Bought a 42" Refurb Vizio LCD HDTV from Tigerdirect.com and couldn't be happier. The Picture is excellent! It has an auto DPI setting so I get the best Picture possible at all times. I have my HD Tivo and my HD DVD player hooked up to this TV along with my stero and I am just amazed at the quality. It has 4 HDMI hookups as well as hook ups for your stero and other components. I've had this TV now for about 6 months and have not had one problem. Thanks Vizio for a quality product!!

THE VIZIO 42 INCH 1080 IS THE BIGGEST PILE OF CRAP. ON MY SECOND TV THAT VIZIO SENT ME AND IT DOES THE SAME THING BUT WORSE. IT GETS LINES GOING HORI. AND VERT. IT SEEMS TO START WHEN THE, HELL I DONT KNOW WHEN IT STARTS BUT I KNOW IT SUCKS SO BE CAREFUL OF THIS PURCHASE AND IF YOU DO BUY THE TWO YR EXT WARR. WITH IT

Best bang for the buck

We bought this TV about a month ago. Very happy with it. Good crisp image. Many people complain about the location of the connectors, but they are in a perfect place for wall mounting. Audio is the weakest link, but what do you expect from small speakers, A must for surround external speakers. Auto scan for channels is slow. Generates very little heat compared to other LCD's. Buy it.

I purchased this television for my son as a Christmas gift. I shopped at several different stores and compared quality of picture along with the price. Vizio came in ahead of the rest. An outstanding picture for less than 1,000.00. I would truly purchase this same TV again.

I have to say that the Vizio-VW42HDTV has to be on top of the to buy list for this Christmas List this year!!!!! I bought this wonderful Tv for my husband for his birthday in November of this year. It was so easy to set up I din't even have to read the instructions at all. You could mount this to what ever wall you want and also comes with a stand if you prefer. A great deal and quality

The Vizio 42 inch LCD, although very inexpensive, is a great television and I highly recommend it. The fact that it is an American company is another plus with today's economy. I would compare it to several other brands costing several hundred dollars more, but of equal or greater quality. We are now in the market for a second unit for our kids room. Costco has a nice selection of Vizios to choose from and they have knowledgeable sales staff to help. The only thing is that I wish they had a 52 inch LCD offering.

The Vizio - VW42L HDTV Television was a great deal. I had looked around at different brands and models and this was the best for my family and I. I have referred this tv to a few friends and would refer it again. I'm very happy with everything about it. It was simple to set up and has numerous inputs for different sources. I love plugging in my computer while using photoshop. You can really see excellent detail.

After research various flat screen televisions, my husband and I chose the Vizio -VW42L HDTV for our den area. It is the perfect fit into our wall unit as we chose not to wall mount. Picture is beautiful and even better with our blue-ray.

The remote is not as user friendly as my husband would like, because he has to hunt for everything he is looking for but he's also used to using the satelite remote.

all in all, I think this is a great television

I was not tech savy when I went to Sears to purchase a TV, but the store clerk was very helpful. I purchased the Vizio when I got DirectTV, and the Vizio was the best bang for my buck purchase I have ever made! My brother, who is tech savy, and bought a Sony, was very impressed with the picture quality of the Vizio when he saw it.

we love love love our tv. sound quality is fabulous and so is the picture. it didn't take us long to set up and was compatible with all of our satellite equipment as well as game systems and we even have the orginal nintendo. it's a real space saver and we're even considering purchasing another one. a great great product

I am reviewing the 42" HDTV by Visio, I looked long and hard at many HDTV's and after searching all over I feel the Visio has one of the clearest pictures and the best price overall. It was simple to set up and has all the plug ins for anything you need to do. I am very pleased with this TV

All i can say about the Vizio tv is it is outstanding. We recently bought a new 42 inch screen hdtv because our old one ianlly died after many many years. We are very pleased with the clarity of the pic and I have highly recomemded this to several friends who are in the market for a new tv
