It all started when the local grocery store chain that employs me stocked some 42" LCD TVs for Christmas.  Before that, I thought I was just fine with my 9 year old 32" Sanyo CRT television.   Yep, with the employee discount we were getting at the time, I could get me a big screen high-def TV for a mere $650.00.  That got me doing some research on-line and what I discovered didn't result in buying that particular TV.  Something much worse happened.  I found myself with a raging case of "Big-Screen HDTV Fever".For the record, this is mostly a "guy" disease and its most contagious around Jan 1st.  You know, when all the big college fo...

This is a great tv. I have had it for a while and have had no complaints with it. We are actually looking at getting another TV to upgrade the one in our family room and are looking at purchasing another Vizio. I purchased from Costco which was a great deal. I would probably purchase a 47 inch next time as I would like for this one to be a little bigger but it is overall a pretty good size. This Television is in our living room and is highly abused we have 2 small boys that poke, prod and accidently throw items at the screen periodically and it has stood the test of time. My only complaint is that the buttons are on the side of the TV making them a little difficult to get to if you have this in an entertainment center. But I only use the buttons if I have misplaced one of our remotes. I would definitely recomend this to anyone.

My Husband and I purchased the Vizio VW42L shortly after Christmas about 2 years ago and we have absolutely loved every minute of this television. This is a 42" HD LCD television that has a great picture. We have had no problems what so ever with this television. It is very user friendly for those that may be a little technically challenged. All of the children's gaming consoles can be connected easily, you simply push one button on the remote to reach each of those consoles. Whenever someone new comes over they always compliment the television. It was a really great value price when we purchased it and the television prices have fallen even more since that time. I would reccomend this television to anyone, we now have another Vizio in our home. You will have to purchase the HDMI cable in order to get HD quality. Overall wonderful TV.

It is a tv brand with the best price compare to the other brand. The only problem is that when it says it has HD, it doesn't show it sometimes when there are News channel showing in HD. it cuts out some of the word.

 I have to say that the Vizio-VW42HDTV has to be on top of the to buy list for this Christmas List this year!!!!!  I bought this wonderful Tv for my husband for his birthday in November of this year.  It was so easy to set up I din't even have to read the instructions at all.  You could mount this to what ever wall you want and also comes with a stand if you prefer.  Which I think is a nice feature of the TV.  So when we turned it on....we were amazed.  The picture was so clear and focused.  Nothing had to be done at all.  The remote is easy to handle.  The outside of the TV has a sleek modern look to it.  Which went with my decore.  Oh' I am also a bargain hunter.  I shopped in a number of places before I decided to purchase the Vizio-VW42HDTV.This was the best value.  An the TV just looks great in the room.  An I am also ready for the big HD only use in Febuary 2009.  So go to the store and see if you see the difference in a Execellent TV or just a TV an let me know!

We bought our Vizio 42-inch high-definition television approximately three years ago.  It is just fabulous and we have really enjoyed this product!

It is very well priced, much cheaper than more well-known brands.  I also think that it is a better quality option, making this Vizio television more bang for your buck!

It can be mounted onto the wall, but also has a stand/feet that can be used to prop it up on a table or television stand.

It comes with a remote control, as well as some cables to connect it to a cable box for those of you that have dvr-cable boxes.  The remote allows you to change channels, change the volume, and also change modes (so that you can watch tv, watch movies on a connected dvd player, and even watch programs on a laptop connected through an hdmi cable).

The picture quality is great, both for regular channels and HD channels as well.  We like the size of the screen, the quality of the sound is good too.

Bought a 42" Refurb Vizio LCD HDTV from Tigerdirect.com and couldn't be happier.  The Picture is excellent!  It has an auto DPI setting so I get the best Picture possible at all times.   I have my HD Tivo and my HD DVD player hooked up to this TV along with my stero and I am just amazed at the quality.  It has 4 HDMI hookups as well as hook ups for your stero and other components.   I've had this TV now for about 6 months and have not had one problem.  Thanks Vizio for a quality product!!

I purchased this television for my son as a Christmas gift.  I shopped at several different stores and compared quality of picture along with the price.  Vizio came in ahead of the rest.  An outstanding picture for less than 1,000.00.  I would truly purchase this same TV again.

I was not tech savy when I went to Sears to purchase a TV, but the store clerk was very helpful.  I purchased the Vizio when I got DirectTV, and the Vizio was the best bang for my buck purchase I have ever made!  My brother, who is tech savy, and bought a Sony, was very impressed with the picture quality of the Vizio when he saw it.

I bought this TV after about 6 months of researching and waiting for the prices to drop I finally bought it a couple of days ago. I love it. Very easy to set up. Took it straight from the box and plugged it in and started watching! It was well worth the money 898.00 at Wal-Mart. I would definitely go for the Vizio. I have several friends who own one and after reading all the reviews. I think it is the one to get!! So, I did:-)

We bought this TV about a month ago. Very happy with it. Good crisp image. Many people complain about the location of the connectors, but they are in a perfect place for wall mounting. Audio is the weakest link, but what do you expect from small speakers, A must for surround external speakers. Auto scan for channels is slow. Generates very little heat compared to other LCD's. Buy it.

I Bought this HDTV about 6 months ago and the TV is Great. Nice Picture and Sound. I have to thank my wife for insisting that we buy this Vizo. I have been want a 42" flat screen for quite a while but did not want to turn aloose of the cash but I am Glad I did now.
