Vizio - L42HDTV Television Review

     Recently I helped my mother-inlaw buy a new television. We decided on a 42 inch HD Vizio tv. She was concerned about:price, quality, and features. At first when I saw the box for the tv itself I was skeptical because I had never heard of the name brand.

    Fortunately they had one set up so that we could see the quality and try some of the features. When you are in a store though you can never be sure of how you will feel about a product until you get it home and use it several times.

    It has been two months since I helped her pick out this tv. The clarity of the picture is amazing. I will note that she does has HD service from her cable company. In order to take full advantage of this tv's features you should order HD service as well. The sound is great. At first she was going to add on a surround sound system but she is so happy with the way the tv sounds that she decided to save the money.

   The tv allows you to choose the style of picture that you would like to view. You can use the following: wide screen, full screen, panoramic, and zoom. depending on what she or we may be watching will will change the picture setting. Another great feature picture related is that this has the picture in picture feature.

    If you have many different things to hook up to the tv this set can handle it. On her set she has: HD cable, vcr, dvd player, video game system, and can still add more.

    Although hooking everything up is very easy, I did call their customer service. I was new to some of the individual features that this tv has and also how to get the best quality from the tv using the cable service that she had. They were very fast to get on the phone with me. They took their time, answered all of my questions, and encouraged me to call back if I ever needed anything else. 

   We both agree that she got a great deal. To us a great deal is not the price alone. Instead we look at: the price, the performance, the style, the customer service, the warrenty, and the enjoyment that you get from using the item.

   A few weeks after having the tv, I went to a local bar and they had just upgraded all of their tvs to the same one that we had just bought. While I was there several people made comments on how much they like the new tvs.

   I would defiantly recommend this product to others.
