Vivitar - ViviCam 8225 Digital Camera Review

We have a big digital camera that has a better zoom, but I was looking for a little camera that I could use for every day yet just slip into my pocketbook. I wanted more control than I felt I had with my camera phone. I didn't want to spend a lot of money either.

I settled on a Vivitar ViviCam 8225. It wasn't the most expensive of the small cameras, but it wasn't a cheap little unheard-of brand either. It was on sale at the store I shopped (always a plus), and it came in a cute purple color (another plus).

The features included everything I was looking for, plus some I didn't think of but am glad I got. It has a 8X Digital Zoom, Anti Shake (which I definitely require in a hand-size camera), High Definition, Red Eye Reduction, a Self Timer, Face Detection, and includes a rechargeable Lithium battery, AC charger, and strap.

In addition, the ViviCam 8225 comes with the Vivitar Experience Software. I am very pleased with the pictures - definitely better than the camera phone!
