My hair is short and one of the advantages of short hair is that you don't need to be as picky when you select a shampoo. I tend to stick with a few brand names when I buy shampoo and one of the brands I buy every now and then when nothing else is available and the product is on sale is **Vive Pro Style & Body Infusing Shampoo**, a shampoo for normal hair that needs a boost. **Shampoo Commentary:** Vive Pro Style & Body Infusing Shampoo has a thick consistency with a clear body and a scent that combines apple and other fruits, with some soapy character. According to Loreal, this product is supposed to make hair more manageable by delivering a long- lasting hold for better style retention, making hair more manageable so that styling is easier; and building added texture for greater fullness. Judging this shampoo on its different qualities, I am left feeling less than impressed. First, I don't care for the scent. With the exception of citrus, I don't like to smell fruit in my shampoo. If the fruit scent is shared with other aromas, I can look past it, but this shampoo is dominating by the scent of apples and other mixed fruits. This isn't the type of scent I want on my hair. It reminds me of a cheap air freshener. Second, Vive Pro Style & Body Infusing Shampoo doesn't fare well with another one of its promises: Adding body to your hair, even if your hair is short like mine. The only way this shampoo adds some body is because this shampoo makes your hair a little bit dry- even to the point of being a little static- filled. Loreal also claims that this product will make your hair more manageable but based on my experience, it seems to both add and take away manageability. I can easily comb through my hair after I use Vive Pro (this is one of the advantages that the manufacturer claims) but that doesn't necessarily mean my hair is more manageable. I often have to pat it down, throughout the day, using water, in order to make it look under control. **Bottom- Line Viewpoint:** Vive Pro Style & Body Infusing Shampoo is a so- so product that may work for some types of hair but not for others. It does a satisfactory job on my short hair and I think most men with shorter hair will find it acceptable at best; frustrating at worst. It gets the hair clean and rinses out easily and smoothly, but there are few other positive things to say about this hair cleaning product. Effectiveness Not very good- dries out the hair Scent Not the best scent- reminds me of cheap air freshener

I bought Vive Shampoo and Conditioner because it was on sale and I had coupons.  It's okay.  It's not the best shampoo I've used.  It's also not the worst.  I have been using it off and on for the last few months and I have noticed that If I use it too long I am starting to get a buildup on my hair.  And the conditioner leaves my hair dull and waxy if I use it too many days in a row.  I usually alternate between this and another shampoo and conditioner so that it doesn't buildup.  Probably a week of this and a week of something else (usually Herbal Essence)  I have noticed that it doesn't clean my scalp as well as others.  I don't like shampoos that are strongly perfumed, and Vive has a very light fragrance, which is nice.  I don't feel like I smell like my shampoo all day.  It's one that if it's on sale I would definitely pick it up again, but it's not a shampoo that I would go out of my way to seek out.

Seriously I will not waste money on professional name brand stuff when I know Loreal makes products JUST as good. Even back when I used to use box dye, I would only use Loreal. I trust the brand a lot and this shampoo is awesome. I have thick, dyed hair..and a lot of it! This shampoo makes my hair soft and protects the color in it. I have noticed that with other shampoos, they have left residue on my scalp..but not this kind. Make sure you buy the conditioner too. They work great together.

I began thinking my hair was hopless. Doomed to dry hair that was pretty like the other girls. Silky & soft? Not mine. I started using Sauve, just because I figured might as well buy the cheapest thing since it was making a difference if I bought a more expensive brand. Long story short, Loreal Vive was on sale at a local store for cheaper than the Sauve was so I thought I'd give it a try. After just one use (yes only one!) my hair was transformed! Normally after washing out the shampoo from my hair it would feel dry, even if wet but with using Vive my hair felt super soft! It didn't even feel like a needed to use a conditioner afterwards (I did though). I styled my hair as normal and it was so silky, smooth & shiny I couldn't believe it! It even smelt great! This is definately a product I would recommend for everyone to try!
