Comments about Vitamix TurboBlend VS Blender:
This blender was given to me as a wedding present over ten years ago, and it is still going strong. The motor is extremely powerful, allowing it to blend ice cubes and other frozen or hard substances with ease. The setting are pretty intuitive: you can choose either High, which is a set speed at super fast, or Variable, which requires you to set the dial to any number of speeds. I use this every day to make smoothies, using chunks of frozen fruit, but I also use it to rough-grind grains and puree soups. There are many, many other functions it can do as outlined in the user's manual cookbook which I haven't even explored. I highly recommend this blender.
Super powerful; the motor is supposed to be a feat of engineering, and it certainly handles all the food I send its way.
I use it every day.
Ease of Cleaning
Usually I just rinse it out. You can also put a spot of detergent in it and "blend" it up, which cleans it nicely. Not really any nooks or crannies.
Ease of Use
Very intuitive buttons.
Great. Simple and easy to use. Looks nice too. I leave mine out on the counter, usually.
Very durable. No breaks or problems in the ten years we've had one.
