This blender does it ALL. Seriously. It can make soup, dips, smoothies, juices... you name it, and it can do it! Vitamix is even used by professional commercial suppliers as well (which just goes to show how good of quality it REALLY is!). Vitamix also comes with a free recipe book filled with color-blasted high-quality pictures to tantalize your taste buds! :) I've owned mine for about 3 years now and NOT ONE SINGLE PROBLEM has EVER occurred with it. Vitamix is a little bit pricey though, but I know you can get it for a great price at Sam's Club when they have a travel agent go there and advertise...
