The Vitamix is a blender on steroids. One reviewer says that the Vitamix is the only kitchen blender that actually pulverizes ice. If you love smoothies, the Vitamix is perfect according to kitchen appliance reviewers. Even some commercial smoothie companies use the Vitamix. You can also make homemade peanut butter, soups, salsas and even ice cream. What fun! Vitamix is expensive, but kitchen gadget lovers say that the Vitamix is definitely worth every penny.

The one word that could be used to describe this blender is "AWESOME".  There is absolutely nothing this unit cannot do.  Able to leap tall buildings, just about.  It has so much ommph, you can even make soup with it.  The unit makes great smoothies, malts, you name it. It has… read full review »

Okay, I went to the State Fair of Texas with a friend of mine and after seeing the demonstration and tasting the wonderful examples Jeff Thompson made with this remarkable machine, we were both sold. She decided to buy a refirbished VitaMix and soon enough, it showed up at the house. We… read full review »

This product blends a variety of foods: fruits, vegetables, ice, grains, cheese, etc.  It can make smoothies, sauces, chop, shred, and even make dough. It also blends popcorn into corn meal or wheat berries into wheat flour. I use it every day. It is a great way to hide vegetables in sauces, smoothies, or doughs.  It is very powerful and has no trouble blending all foods.  It has a variable setting that ranges from 1 (for soft foods) to 10 (for hard or frozen foods). It also has a high setting that blends powerfully and quickly. It has an attachment for blending most… read full review »

I bought a Vitamix a few years ago at Costco. The only mistake I made was waiting to long to buy it. It was by far one of the best purchases I have ever made. We have been eating much more fruit and veg. — — This is easy to use and can help in preparing so many things. Even healthy recipes taste good to those who shun them. — — So far there are no cons. — My husband insists I add that it also makes great frozen Margaritas, Daiquiris, etc. — — —… read full review »

Most blenders are in the 300 or 400 watt range; this one is 1100 watts. Comes with two containers and blades. One for dry blending like wheat or nuts and the other for everything else. This is what smoothies are all about. The only blender I have ever used that totally pulverises ice without leaving any chunks. In fact I found this used in some of the stores in the mall that make drinks like Orange… read full review »

I have owned several blenders before I purchased my VITAMIX but none of them lasted very long due to their poor quality. — I purchased this one about five years ago and it is easy to use and performs outstandingly. I have yet to find anything that it cannot do other than clean my house. — It is a comercial quality blender that comes with  two containers, dry and wet, will grind meat for meatloaf to any consistency desired, grind wheat or other grains for flour and then you can actually combine all of the ingerdients in the container to make your bread or anything else in… read full review »

This is a product I have seen demonstrated several times, read lots about, and even tasted things made in it, but do not own it myself..... yet. It is definitely on my wish list. The cost has kept me from buying one, though I feel that it is worth the asking price. You can make soups, salsas, ice cream, and so much more with this machine. Recipes come with it. It has a heavy-duty motor. This is a substantial piece of equipment. People I know have had theirs for many years and with no problems. It is even easy to clean after using, If you are into healthier eating, than this is one product… read full review »

I first saw this machine at Costco where they did demonstration. I bought one home to try it out myself and I love it. I tried different fruit and vegetable combinations to make different smoothies. I came out very nice. Very smooth. However, the machine is quite expensive (before tax $400). Try it yourself and you'll love it. Imagine, you can create alot of healthy drinks for your kids at home without paying like $4-$5 for Jamba Juice or other places. You can make back the money for the machine after around 100-120 servings. — I don't eat fruits that frequently but when I blend… read full review »

We have had this "blender" for almost a year now & can't live without it. It has changed drastically how much fresh fruit & vegetables we eat daily. I can't decide if my favorite part is how well it blends seeds, etc. (which means less prep time) or how easy it cleans up afterwards. Haven't tried soups yet since we are hooked on the fruit & vegetable smoothies, but can't see why they wouldn't be great as well. If it is healthy, we toss it in & it always turns out great. We don't even bother with yogurt or honey since the mix of fruit with the veggies always bring some… read full review »

I  was lucky enough to acquire my Vita-Mix Blender for free, which makes it a bargain for me. It does the work of 10 regular blenders. I've made soup in it, I've made marinara sauce in it, also ice cream, and smoothies, and even chunky peanut butter from nothing but peanuts. It makes cold things, hot soups and sauces, chops, dices, and on and on. It's versatile, powerful, easy to clean....and I can't live without it. I will be getting the attachment to grind grains, so I can make my own breads that are healthy and whole grain. If there's any way you can afford one, get it. You won't be… read full review »

Talk about worth the money! - I bought my Vita-Mix 30 years ago.  The base is an avacado green!  It is the best appliance I have ever owned.  My children all have dibs on it when I die, which hopefully won't be for quite a while.  Great adult drinks, sauce, ice cream, even diet drink maker.  It has moved with us 4 times and I would be crushed if it ever broke on me.  I did start to smell the motor after using it a couple years ago, but I sprayed some oil on it and all is well.  Great company for manufacturing such a super… read full review »

A VitaMix is a commercial-grade mixer that can blend anything in a matter of seconds. It makes great soup, ice cream, drinks, smoothies, and can even grind wheat into flour and peanuts into peanut butter. It is easy to clean; just add soapy water and blend. I would like to have more recipes but it is fun to experiment with new ones. It's better than a juicer because it saves the pulp and vitamins. I recommend it to all health conscious people. —… read full review »

I saw this blender at costco and decided to buy it on a whim. Most people are shocked at the price tag (a good $400), but its surprisingly worth it. Plus, the blender comes with a 7-year warranty, something you certainly won't find with other brands. Its great for people who are busy and need quick meal ideas. You can make soups, smoothies, ice creams, etc, all in a matter of… read full review »
