I have had Vitamix blenders for at least 13 years and never had a single problem. The Vitamix Super 5000 is the best blender I ever owned. It's far more powerful and reliable than what you'll find in a department store. It churns through ice and peanuts and purees meat like nothing. if it gets overheated it shuts itself down without harming the motor. It makes awesome smoothies and shakes. it's the most used appliance on my countertop.
