About two years ago I started making a fruit smoothie every morning.  Frozen strawberries, a banana, orange juice, yogurt, and flax seed (and more recently blue berries).  Unfortunately I found that our standard Kitchen Aid blender was not up to the task.  It simply could not handle the frozen strawberries.  I would fight with it by starting and stopping and tilting the blender but I eventually became frustrated. So I did a bit of research and found the Breville Blender which even had a special smoothie setting.  I was happy with this blender for several months but it seemed to lose its initial... review »

I came across a Vita-Mix demonstration at our local Sam's Club store. It took me only ten minutes to make up my mind to buy one.

I could feel my glycemic index rising, as we drank down several different juice smoothies and soups. I would not recommend doing this! In fact, you would not. But for demonstration purposes, the demonstrator made at least five different things in a matter of 30 minutes.

The blender is so powerful seeds, and rinds from most fruits can be added directly into the plastic blending cup. It pulverizes whatever it is you add. You can gather your ingrdients, for instance frozen...

I bought my first "VITA-MIX 3600" out of the classified ads for only $65! They said they paid a lot more money $$$ for this so called fancy "blender!" Which they said they hardly ever used!  Calling the Vita-Mix  a blender is such an understatement! That's  like calling the Grand Canyon a small, tiny little valley! The VITA-MIX is SO MUCH MORE then a common blender...it is the "ROLLS ROYCE" of juicers, blenders, choppers, food processsors, soup makers, smoothie-frozen drinks/ Margarita makers, grain-ice cream maker etc.... it's my #1 kitchen appliance! I found my second...

Noisy and a bit pricey, but worth it!  This machine can do it all.  I find the demo's both annoying and engaging.  Can one machine do it all?  Yes, almost.

We've had the Vitamix for almost three months, and have done blender soup, icecream and many many smoothies.  The other dry blender is noisy and fast at changing dry wheat berries into flour.  (The bread was a bit strong wheat tasting and a little on the heavy side for my family.)

I bought this at a Costco demo and couldn't be more pleased.

My family and I play a guess the secret ingredient at dinner, and they are amazed to find cherry...

The Vitamix is wonderfull for making baby food, margaritas, shakes, salsa. soup. It comes with a seven year warranty. Several people I've spoken to who make their baby food have killed sooooo many blenders if you kill this one they fix it!!!!!  Actually makes ice cream.  You can sneak in vitamins and nobody will notice they have a great recipe book too!

I was hesitant to spend the cash for a VitaMix mixer even though I was really impressed the the demo I saw at Sam's Club a couple of years back.  But when my blender died I gave VitaMix a look and really wanted one.  Their website has refurbished 5200s which is their current model at a great price.  Also it carries the same warranty as a brand new one.  I figured I couldn't go wrong so I ordered one and found a free shipping promo code to boot saving me $25.  I was impressed with the fact that VitaMix is made right here in the good ole USA and has been a family run business based in Ohio for...

I love my VitaMix, my mother had one when I was little and she made everything in it from juices to soups and pizza dough. Her original unit is still working today, with no repairs since purchasing it. The VitaMix brand has been around for a while and is reliable company regarding repairs and quality of the unit itself. The unit is a versatile kitchen appliance that I have found to be indespensible in my own kitchen. My VitaMix is easy to clean with water and a squirt of soap, it never has to be put in the dishwasher. Unlike a juicer, the VitaMix breaks down the pulp and solids that a standard...

I had seen the Vitamix demonstrations at Costco many times and thought to myself "sure, I'll try your smoothie/soup/salsa etc., but who in their right mind would spend over $400 on a blender?!".  It wasn't until I visited my dad and his girlfriend who had a brand new shiny Vitamix blender on the counter, did I become a fan.  My dad's girlfriend had pretty much turned our whole visit into a vitamix demo show.  She showed me EVERY trick she had learned in the short month she'd had it.  We made soup and salsa and smoothies and ice cream...by the time we left for home I was sad I couldn't afford...

I had to wait quite a while and save up my pennies to buy a Vitamix and I have not been disappointed!

I use my vitamix every day.  It blends until literally smooth.  It makes ice cream, nut butters, pancake batter, fruit smoothies that are smooth even after I add flax seed (!), chops hard cheeses that just about killed my food processor, makes soups, grinds grains,  does awesome salad dressings without having to chop first, and the pesto - YUM.

My sister went through 6 blenders in less than 2 years until she bought her vitamix.  She was burning them out making fruit smoothies - even the smoothie...

I don't know how I lived without it. Remember the old bit of "It slices! It Dices!" It does, and then some. You want specifics? Fine. You can:
Make smoothies that easily equal Jamba Juice smoothies
Make soup out of a handful of ingredients, and cook it right in the VitaMix
Make ice creams and sorbets
Chop ginger, garlic, onions or whatever in zero seconds
Make butter or whipped cream practically instantly
Grind nuts, wheat berries, etc
A million more things I can't think of right now.

It is expensive - boy, is it! - but it is worth it. It stretches your budget out so far you'd think it was silly...

I had seen Vita-Mix blenders in the past and was afraid of spending $400 for something that usually costs less than $100. However, this blender truly surprised me! It really blends anything you throw into it. You can liquify ice, make soup... anything you can think of. I highly recommend it. All of the claims I had heard about it were absolutely true. This is the device I use the most in my kitchen.

If you want to eat healthier, the vita mix is about the easiest way to start doing it.....just throw a few ingredients in the blender and in a very short time, you have delicious, healthy, good-for-you treats.  I especially like it for making smoothies.  One tried and true one is combining unpeeled frozen bananas, frozen berries, soymilk and walnuts.

This machine is a workhorse! Absolutely wonderful - we make everythign from soups to ice creams to smoothies in this machine! The 5000 now has variable speeds - with the highest being up to 240 mph! Works in seconds - cleans up so easily. I use this at every meal - for almost everything! Really, really wonderful. I can't say enough.

I absolutely LOVE my Vitamix Super 5000 Variable Speed Blender! It's very easy to use, there is no waste because it can liquify pinneapple & apple cores, and I haven't found a better way to create cheese sauces! It is louder than I like, however I can live with the noise!

This is by far the best blender I've ever used!!!

I've had it for a couple of years & I've used it nearly everyday...sometimes several times a day!!!!  It's great for smoothies, custom coffee blends, nut milks, nut butters, soups, fruit & vegetable juices, pancake batters, syrups....you get the point....it's great for everything!!!!!!!  I can't say enough about how wonderful this blender is!!!!!!!  The best part is; after all of those things you can make...it's super easy to clean!!!!!  :D

The only small complaint I have is that while The Vita-Mix comes with a 7 year warranty,...
